3. 1 2 downrod perform the following steps 1 Remove the hanger ball from the 12 downrod by loosening the set screw at the top of the downrod which holds the hanger ball to the downrod 2 Slide the hanger ball down the downrod and remove the support pin 3 Insert the support pin in the holes at the top of the 4 1 2 downrod and slide the hanger ball up the 4 1 2 downrod Make sure the support pin is properly seated in the grooves in the top of the hanger ball 4 Tighten the set screw firmly Installing Fan to the Electrical Box TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE ELECTRIC SHOCK OR OTHER PERSONAL INJURY MOUNT FAN ONLY TO AN OUTLET BOX OR SUPPORTING SYSTEM MARKED ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT AND USE THE MOUNTING SCREWS PROVIDED WITH THE OUTLET BOX Pass the 120 volt supply wires through the center hole in the ceiling mounting bracket as shown in Figure 7 Install the ceiling mounting bracket to the outlet box be sure to align the holes in the hanger bracket with the post holes in the outlet box and secure with screws and washers provided by the outlet box Fig 7 Security tighten the two mounting screws Carefully lift the fan assembly up to the ceiling mounting bracket and seat the hanger ball in the mounting bracket socket Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket socket is properly seated in the groove in the hanger ball Figure 8 This will help to balance the ceiling fan Secure the safety cable to

Strong Support Recessed Outlet Box Mounting bracket opening must be toward the top Figure 3 Note You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper blade clearance when installing on a steep sloped ceiling The maximum angle allowable is 18 If the canopy touches downrod remove the decorative canopy bottom cover and turn the canopy 180 before attaching the canopy to the mounting plate Hanging the Fan REMEMBER to turn off the power Follow the steps below to hang your fan properly 1 Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover from the canopy by turning the cover counter clockwise Figure 4 Remove the mounting bracket from the canopy by removing the 1 of 2 screws from the bottom of the mounting bracket and loosening the other one a half turn from the screw head Next turn the canopy counter clockwise to removing the mounting bracket from the canopy Figure 4 Remove the clevis pin cotter pin and set screws from the top of the motor assembly Fig 5 Loosen the setscrew from the coupling located at the top of the decorative cable wire assembly Route wires exiting from the top of the fan motor through the coupling cover decorative cable wire assembly canopy cover canopy and then through the ball downrod Fig 5 Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod with the holes in the coupling on top of the motor housing Figure 5 Carefully insert the clevis pin through the holes in the collar and

HE HANGER BALL BEFORE ATTACHING THE Repeat for the 2 remaining screws and CANOPY TO THE BRACKET BY TURNING THE washers HOUSING UNTIL IT DROPS INTO PLACE 2 Tighten each screw securely starting with the center screw Make sure the blade is straight Repeat steps for the remaining blades f Blade Arm Figure 13 3 Fasten the blade assemblies to the motor housing by lining up the slots of the blade arms MMS CORONAS with the tabs on the motor housing then PUBIS Ome US EA LLO INSTALLING BALANCING THE BLADES OR tighten the two screws and washers already NOVO ON installed in the blade arms Figure 13 OBJECTS BETWEEN ROTATING FAN BLADES Blade Balancing The following procedure should correct most fan wobble Check after each step 1 Check that all blade and blade bracket screws are secure 2 Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the ceiling Measure this distance as shown in Figure 14 Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement Repeat for each blade Measurements deviation should be within 1 8 Run the fan for 10 Minutes 3 Use the enclosed Blade Balancing Kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable Touching Ceiling Figure 14 Installing the Light Kit PERO STARTING INSTALLATION DI

OFF NOTE CFL bulbs are NOT dimmable The ED Button This button is used to change the direction of the rotation of the blades forward for warm weather or reverse for warm weather Figure 19 TO OPERATE THE REVERSE FUNCTION ON THIS FAN PRESS THE REV BUTTON WHILE THE FAN IS RUNNING Speed settings for warm or cool weather depend on factors such as the room size ceiling height number of fans etc Warm weather Counter Clockwise direction A downward air flow creates a cooling effect Fig 20 This allows you to set your air conditioner on a higher setting without affecting your comfort Cool weather Clockwise direction An upward airflow moves warm air off the ceiling area Fig 21 This allows you to set your heating unit on a lower setting without affecting your comfort Figure 21 Care of Your Fan Here are some suggestions to help you maintain your fan 1 Because of the fan s natural movement some connections may become loose Check the support connections brackets and blade attachments twice a year Make sure they are secure It is not necessary to remove fan from ceiling Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years Do not use water when cleaning Use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing Do not use water w

SCON NECT THE POWER BY TURNING OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OR REMOVING THE FUSE AT FUSE BOX TURNING POWER OFF USING THE FAN SWITCH IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK Remove 1 screw Al and loosen 2 screws A2 from the mounting ring do not remove the 2 screws See illustration Place the key holes on the mounting plate over the 2 screws previously loosened from the mounting ring turn mounting plate until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes Secure by tightening the 2 screws previously loosened and the one previously removed Remove 1 screw B1 and loosen 2 screws B2 from the mounting ring do not remove the 2 screws See illustration Raise and hold the light kit close to the mount ing plate and make the wire connections Connect the white wire connectors from the light kit and fan follow the same procedure with the black wire connectors Fig 15 10 Carefully push all wires back into the mount ing plate then install the light kit onto the mounting ring with 3 screws provided Be sure to tighten all screws Fig 15 Remove the metal plate and glass cover from the light kit Install 2 x 13 watt Max compact fluorescent bulbs included Raise the glass shade up against the light kit Place the metal plate with rubber on the top over the stem and turn it clockwise until it locks up against the glass shade Do not overtighten Fig 16 Raise the g

12. hen cleaning This could damage the motor or the wood or possibly cause an electrical shock Youcan apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood blades for additional protection and enhanced beauty Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish There is no need to oil your fan The motor has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings Troubleshooting SOLUTION PROBLEM Fan will not start Fan sounds noisy Remote control 1 2 3 Check main and branch circuit fuses or breakers Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing Check to make sure the dip switches from the transmitter and receiver are set to the same frequency Make sure all motor housing screws are snug 2 Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub is tight Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing Allow a 24 hour breaking in period Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time If using an optional light kit make sure the screws securing the glassware are tight Check that the light bulb is also secure Make sure the upper canopy is a short distance from the ceiling It should not touch the ceiling Make sure your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used between mounting bracket and outlet box Do not connect the fan with a wall mounted va
