D JEANDUNAND PIECES UNIQUES TOURBILLON ORBITAL CALIBRE 10200 BY CHRISTOPHE CLARET OWNER S MANUAL OWNER S MANUAL The Jean Dunand Tourbillon Orbital is a wristwatch of original design and construction in which the entire movement rotates carrving in orbit a one minute flving tourbillon on a revolving dial The patented calibre 10200 presents two features new to watchmaking a power reserve gauge shown through an aperture in the caseband and the winding and setting system through the central axis of the rotating movement Additionally the phases of the moon are displayed on the back of the watch The watch bears the name of the Swiss artist Jean Dunand 1877 1942 who was influential in the Art Deco movement in Paris The name designates original complicated watches of advanced design built in the Christophe Claret workshops in Le Locle Switzerland e OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The Jean Dunand Tourbillon Orbital is the first watch of its kind It features a movement constructed on all new principles and a winding and setting svstem unlike that of conventional wristwatches Please follow these instructions carefullv when vou wind or set vour watch Misuse mav damage the mechanisms 1 Power reserve gauge 2 Pushbutton to set the moon phase 3 Folding handle to wind and set the watch Cal tte Pe Cell leo k approximately 110 hours WINDING YOUR WATCH Lift the handle on the b
3. ack of the watch Turn it counterclockwise to engage the winding mechanism and to wind the watch Ba While you wind the watch the power reserve gauge on the side of the watch will move in steps from E empty to F full Stop winding when the gauge reaches F full The watch has a slipping mainspring that does not lock when it is fully wound When it is fully wound the watch will have a power reserve of approximately 110 hours C Please note Before you fold down the handle give it a half turn clockwise to disengage the winding mechanism The watch will stop unless the winding mechanism is disengaged SETTING THE TIME _D_ Lift the handle and pull it up one click E_ Turn the handle in either direction to bring the hands to the correct time Setting the time might cause a slight shift in the dial and movement assembly This has no effect on timekeeping IF After you have set the time click the handle down to the winding position and give it one turn counterclockwise G Please note Before vou fold down the handle give it half a turn clockwise to ensure that the setting and winding mechanisms are disengaged Failure to disengage the mechanisms will cause the watch to stop 4 SETTING THE PHASE OF THE MOON G Warning Do not change the phase of the moon while the watch shows a time between 11 00 and 3 00 The mechanisms automaticallv engage to advance the moon at midnight and any manual intervention be
