8. yesight must refocus on objects at varying distances you must also rotate the OBJECTIVE LENS to focus precisely on each object you view Operating Controls The two buttons located at the top of the device allow you to control both the FRAME RATE and the IR INTENSITY Frame Rate The small button controls the Frame Rate Frame Rate is similar to the exposure time on an old film camera where the longer the shutter remains open the greater the amount of light exposure With the xGenPro the electronic sensor can be allowed more time to gather up light before processing the image The longer the exposure time and the lower the frame rate FPS the more light is gathered There are 3 exposure settings Frames per Second Light Gathering 25 Low default 15 Medium 08 High The current frame rate setting is displayed at the top center of the display In the very darkest environments and for viewing objects at a greater distance choose the 8FPS setting Lower FPS settings have the disadvantage of reproducing a slower moving image A moving image at lower FPS settings may appear to smear This is not a defect but a characteristic of low frame rate operation Operating Controls continued IR Intensity The built in infrared illuminator IR casts a beam of infrared light that is invisible to human and animal eyes Using the large button the user can control the brightness or intensity of the IR illumination The xGenPr
