2. You should avoid it The structure of a AutoReplace code file is very simple each code replacement pair is defined on a single line The code and replacement texts are separated by a delimiter Currently the permitted delimiters are commas and tabs An individual line within a code file must use either comma or tab as its delimiter but you may freely switch between the two on different lines within the same file For example t1 John Smith defines a code replacement pair in which every instance of t1 will be replaced with John Smith A delimiter at the end of the replacement text is optional If AutoReplace finds a tab anywhere on the line it uses tab as the delimiter for that line Otherwise it uses the comma Note spreadsheet programs appear to be particularly sensitive to whitespace at the begin ning of fields You should avoid it For example if the line in the example above had read t1 John Smith then the replacement text would be John Smith instead of John Smith This is nota problem with text editors Although it is not essential recommend that both the code and the replacement texts are enclosed in ei ther single or double quotes To reduce the possibility of error suggest using double quotes to avoid con fusion with an apostrophe within the replacement text The number of code replacement pairs in a code file is unlimited However due to the current restrictions of the Lightroom plug in UI
