11. according 1o pre set netuctions Ta be successful he request Must contain fn ISBN or ISSN for DacFind to be able lo work with i What is a Rota The Rota is a routing system for requests When a request is sent it goes to the fret brary on ha ist I that frst ibrar cannot supply em request goes automaicaly to next brary and soon unl a lending Horan responds tat wil ican tem The Rota is bust by a background processor called DacFing that collects sits and sorts a rota 1 First DocFind collects locations from al possible targets that are a match for the ISBN ISSN oF LCCN in the record lf here is no number in the record hat has been submited the DocFind processor cannot work wilh tio collect locations 2 Second DocFind sits through the collected locations matching against rules that sif out locations that do not lend 3 particular media type or have sel up a suspension because hay are temporary unavailable 3 Lastly DocFind sorts the remaining locations based an a profle for your library set up at the system admiisrabve level Geographic proximity and delvery methods are profi factors 4 Iie Rota is bul suecesstuly the request is automatically authorized and sent lo fist location on the Rota The status changes from Idle to Pending unis the Responder takes action The operator has nothing further lo do What if a Rota does not get built If request does not meet requirements or a Rota is not succeasfuly built it remains lle and t
