4. 5 Select how you want the camera information displayed select one of the options from the drop down list Default is non transparent amp not flashing e Transparent amp Flashing e Transparent amp Not Flashing e Non transparent amp Flashing e Non transparent amp Not Flashing There are two text boxes in the camera view screen one for the camera name red box and the other for the date time yellow box Using the mouse click and drag a text box to the desired position Click Apply to save the settings and then click Back to return to live view Setting up privacy masking You can define an area on screen to remain hidden from view For example you can choose to block the view of a camera when overlooking residential premises This hidden area is referred to as privacy masking Privacy masking cannot be viewed in live 126 view or recorded mode and appears as a black area on the video image To setup a privacy mask 1 From the menu toolbar click Camera Management gt Privacy Mask TruVision NVR 21 S P User Manual Chapter 14 Camera settings 2 Select the camera for which to set up privacy masking 3 Check the Enable Privacy Mask box to enable the feature 4 Set up the mask area Up to four areas can be set Using the mouse click and drag a privacy mask box in the camera view screen over the desired area You can set up to four areas for privacy masking Masked areas are dimmed and outlined

22. 5 Live view Video output The recorder can be connected to up to three monitors However only one monitor can be controlled at a time The recorder automatically checks the monitor outputs used If more than one monitor is connected it then defines which monitor is the main one and which is the auxiliary lf a HDMI monitor is used it will be the main output If HDMI and VGA monitors are both connected to the recorder both will be main monitors they will both show the same view However you will not be able to control each individually To select the video output of the main monitor 1 From the menu toolbar click Display Mode Settings gt Layout gt General 2 From Video Output Interface select which monitor will be the main monitor HDMI depends on recorder model VGA or main BNC HDMI is default if connected To control a monitor On the front panel press button A to select the main monitor Press button B to select the event monitor Monitor output The decoding capabilities for the recorder in live view are e 1x 1main stream e 2 x2 main stream e 1 main stream and 5 substreams e 1 main stream and 7 substreams e 3 x 3 substreams e 4 x 4 substreams The number of cameras that can be played back together depends on the camera resolution See Table 7 on page 31 30 TruVision NVR 21 S P User Manual Chapter 5 Live view Table 7 Monitor output for playback Resolution Number of recorder channels NT
