Setting Department Type Normal Item Entry allows you to ring up two or more items into a department For example if you want to ring up 5 of the same items you can tell the cash register to multiply the one price by the number of items Single Item Entry allows you to ring up only one item in a department and ends the sale as a cash sale as soon as the Department key is pressed Setting Standard Gallonage or Negative Mode A department can be set for Standard Mode Gallonage Mode or Negative Mode Gallonage Mode allows entering a price with 3 decimal places representing the cost per gallon pound kilogram yard meter or other unit of measurement For example 2 899 per gallon The quantity representing the unit of measurement can also be entered in up to 3 decimal places This lets you enter 10 931 gallons of gasoline at 2 899 a gallon Standard Mode enters the price using the normal 2 decimal place setting Negative Mode allows you to set the price to a negative number This is useful when you need to assign preset discounts or coupons Using Negative Mode allows you to track the number of discounts given or the number of times the discounts were given more closely than simply assigning a discount amount with the Coupon key Setting High Amount Lock out HALO You can specify the largest amount that can be rung up in an entry This feature helps to prevent against large over rings If too many digits are entered the

12. the Running Grand Total About Management Reports The following management reports are available in both X mode and Z mode unless noted otherwise 1 Cash in Drawer Report Available in the X mode only Prints how much cash is in the drawer at the time of the report Financial Report Also called X and Z reports Prints totals of departments tax net sales voids returns coupons refunds minus percentage plus percentage receipts on account paid out cash check charge and the running grand total PLU Report Prints quantity and dollar amount of each PLU number rung up Department Range Report Prints the sales information quantity and dollar amount totals for the specified departments X mode only Clerk Report Prints total sales amounts of each Clerk Number Hourly Report Provides total sales amounts rung up each hour 7 Periodic X 2 and Z 2 Reports Prints the transaction totals for a period of time such as a week or a month Electronic Journal Report Prints the information in the Electronic Journal Can be run in the X or Z modes Running Reports Running reports are easy just follow the prompts on the clerk display Before you start printing reports remember the following 83 All Z reports will print on the cash register tape to provide a permanent record before the totals are reset For many X reports you can view the report on the clerk display or print the report for a permanent reco

20. as programmed A customer receipt is printed for every transaction Turning the customer receipt off doesn t print the customer receipt The built in printer is turned off so that customer receipts are not automatically printed The transaction details are still saved in memory if the Electronic Journal is turned on If you are a smaller merchant or business you may not need to print customer receipts This controls the amount of receipt paper you use In this case you do not print a receipt for every transaction and only print a receipt for those transactions where one is required You must have paper installed in the cash register even if you have customer receipt printing off and are not printing receipts R You can see the receipt printer is turned off by looking at the clerk screen If you see the R OFF symbol receipts are not automatically printed Note You cannot change printing receipts in the middle of a transaction To turn printing receipt on or off 1 End any transaction 2 Do one of the following e To turn receipt printing off press the Receipt on off lt esc gt key The R OFF symbol appears on the clerk screen e To turn receipt printing on again press the Receipt on off lt esc gt key The R OFF symbol disappears from the clerk screen Receipt on Demand If the receipt printer is turned off you can still print a receipt on demand if the customer requests one after the transaction is completed but before y
