3. device E Webcam Mode First install the webcam in your computer by inserting the device in the USB port wait a few seconds for the system to detect it it will first install itself as a drive removable Device see previous section F Removable Disk once it is at the Removable disk mode press and hold the button on the device for 4 seconds Your system will automatically install the webcam drivers within 10 seconds Next disconnect the device from your computers USB port The next time you insert the device in your computer again simply press and hold the button for 4 seconds again to start the webcam Note According to the computer system configuration the computer may not detect a camera mode for the first time if the computer cannot enter the camera mode but you see it as a USB drive please remove the Pen and connect the Pen to the computer again F Charging Connect to computer USB interface or charger During charging the yellow light will flash slowly When the battery is fully recharged the yellow light will stop flashing Note The recorder has a built in high capacity lithium polymer battery The battery has no memory effect it can be used and charged at anytime For the first initial five charges please charge battery to 100 full level after the battery is completely empty This activities the batteries maximum capacity and maintains the standard working time In order to maximize the capacity of storage
4. install itself as a new drive You may see an AutoPlay menu titled Removable Disk E pop up prompting your action here you may click on Open Folder to view files You will also see a new drive in My Computer named Removable Disk E drive letter may vary most likely D E or F Yo access the pictures and video files in the device you may browse the folders E VIDEO RECORD E IMAGE RECORD or E AUDIOREC for video pictures or audio acordenly You can transfer copy remove files to or from the device just as any other drive Once you re ready to remove the pen please click on the task bar on the bottom right corner of the icon to the management of removable devices remove the inside removable storage devices when the system recognizes the hardware can be safely pulled out and then disconnect the device from the computer Note According to a computer or system configuration differences the time to identify removable disk will vary on system please be patient Please do not use the camera device during this time to avoid impact of the computer hardware identification If the computer does not identify a removable disk for a long time try removing the device from your computer and re connecting If still unable to identify the hardware make sure that your operating system driver USB interface cable are all working do not remove the device while files are being transferred or this may corrupt all the files in the

6. battery please continue to charge for 30 minutes to 1 hour after the indicator light turns and stays bright NOTICE The information in this manual is subject to change without notice Zetronix Corporation shall not be liable for technical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein nor for incidental or consequential damages furnishing from the furnishing or use of this material Ss a _ F a y a dh ih ae u G Date and Time setup follow the steps below to change or remove the video timestamp 1 Connect the device to your computer s USB port 2 Ensure that you computer detects the device as a drive Open My Computer and hit F5 to refresh and look for a new drive most likely something named Removable Disk E Take note of the drive letter associated with the device Most likely D E F or G depending on how many other drives your system has 3 Open a text editor such as Notepad 4 Enter the current date and time or the desired date and time in the following format YYYY MM DD HH MM SS Y Where YYYY year MM month DD day HH hour MM minute and SS seconds For example The date July 4 2009 9 15 00 AM would be written 2009 07 04 09 15 00 Y The last character Y specifies whether or not to show the timestamp To remove the timestamp simply change the last character Y to N 5 Save the text file as time txt to the device drive letter on step 2

9. hing or use of this material NT E F E A ie aa i ae G 3 Operation A Parts Description Please refer to Diagram A 1 Camera Sony ClearVid CMOS Camera Image Sensor 2 Microphone Used to record sound 3 Operation Button Press the button once to turn the pen on and off 4 Light Indicator Blue light is on during recording mode Yellow means it s on standby 5 Reset Button If the pen stops responding use a non metallic tool to push the reset button 6 USB Interface This port is to be used to connect to the computer or a charger 7 Video Photo Audio Switch Switch used to record audio only B ON OFF To turn on the device press and hold the button 3 for 3 seconds The yellow light indicator will come on This is the video recording standby mode To power off the device leave it at video standby mode yellow light it will shut itself off after 60 seconds You can also power it off by setting the device to photo standby mode at blue light see below then press and hold the button for 6 seconds Note As an added feature to facilitate usage under discrete situations the device will automatically start recording 5 seconds after being switched on C Changing Mode Use the switch 7 to change the device in between video and photo standby mode to audio recording mode 1 Video Mode First make sure the switch 7 is set on the left when you see the yellow light it means the pen is in video standby mo
