2. period At this stage the battery charger MUST be connected immediately to avoid any interruption in the treatment session STAGE 3 If the battery voltage drops to a critical level at any time the yellow LED will illuminate AND the display will show BL In addition the audible alarm will sound and cycling of the pump will be inhibited The unit will then automatically shut off after two minutes A fully charged battery will operate a single PowerPlay wrap for approximately 4 6 hours Less operating time between charges should be expected when using larger and or multiple wraps Using the AC Adapter Battery Charger Insert the supplied power plug into the adapter jack on the pump unit and connect the power adapter to the main voltage wall socket The battery charge LED will illuminate RED while charging battery and turn GREEN when charge is complete It will not be illuminated if the charger is not connected For extended operation periods or to charge the battery during treatment sessions the AC adapter can be connected while the device is in use 10 Troubleshooting Cleaning and Disinfecting NOTE Inspect the PowerPlay unit and follow the cleaning and disinfecting procedures prior to each use WARNING Device must be turned off and disconnected from the power mains wall outlet prior to and while cleaning or disinfecting CAUTION Do not place any items in an autoclave CAUTION Do not immerse pump unit i
3. the port will beep and flash to on the display as well as flash the indicator light on that port for 1 5 seconds That port will then shut off If multiple ports are activated the above procedure will cycle for each port When the last port is cycled through and is off the alarm will sound for 15 seconds and the entire unit will shut off Note that if a port is shut off and then reactivated the time is reset to 20 minutes 7 To turn off the pump unit depress and hold the power button for 1 2 seconds 8 To disconnect the air tube from pump unit depress the metal thumb tab on the connector while pulling the tube away Alarms HI KINKED HOSE If pressure limit is reached in less than 2 seconds after pump is energized cycling stops the alarm sounds and display reads HI for a period of 1 5 seconds The unit then proceeds into the next output phase of that cycle This will repeat until a THIRD HI alarm condition at which point the alarm sounds display flashes HI and all functions are inhibited for that port except 1 0 In addition the LED indicator coinciding with whichever wrap was energized when the condition occurred flashes rapidly LO LEAK When a wrap is activated if pressure limit is NOT reached within 5 minutes after pump is energized cycling stops the alarm sounds and display reads LO for a period of 1 5 seconds The unit then proceeds into the next output phase o
4. F e Do not unroll or attach the wraps in below freezing temperatures 0 C 32 F as damage to the air bladders can occur making them unable to hold pressure e Store in a dry location between 10 C 50 F and 40 C 104 F 30 75 relative humidity e Limit Transport Temperatures to between 20 C 4 F and 60 C 140 F e Normal Operating Conditions Temperature Range 10 C 50 F to 40 C 104 F Relative Humidity 30 to 75 Purpose of this Device The purpose of the PowerPlay PPRT 01 when used with PowerPlay site wraps is to provide relief from minor muscle pain while temporarily improving blood circulation to the area This is accomplished by an electronically controlled intermittent compression pump unit delivering air to the wraps that in turn compress the tissue in the treated area by simulating stroking and kneading by the hands The pump unit will inflate the wraps to a specified pressure of 50 mmHg 55 mmHg 60 mmHg 65 mmHg or 70 mmHg set by the user and once the pressure is reached it will hold for 10 seconds before releasing Cycles are repeated for 20 minutes or until the unit is turned off Internal rechargeable batteries allow the system to be completely portable thus preventing interruptions in treatment Set Up Instructions 1 Remove items from packaging and plastic bags 2 Inspect all components for damage If any parts appear damaged or are inoperable contact PowerPlay Custom
