NING Risk of falling When using the kerb climber make sure that the rollator does not roll away uncontrolledly after crossing over an obstacle 39 3 15 Mounting of Basket Mount the basket by pushing it onto the tubes under the seat A When the attachment of the basket covers the red marking on the tubes B the basket is correctly mounted To remove the basket from the rollator lift the handles of the basket slightly upwards and pull the basket outwards WARNING Risk of imbalance falling Always lock the brakes before mounting removing the basket 40 3 16 Seat Cushions The seat cushions on the seat can easily be removed if needed To remove the seat cushions pull the cushion upwards on the marking of the cushion A AN WARNING Risk of imbalance falling If the seat cushions are removed be careful not to get stuck with the clothes on the velcro 4 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Maintenance should be done at least once a year Do not use an abrasive detergent cleaner or cloth to clean or dry the walker To ensure good performance and safety you should regularly check that the following is carried out Clean the rollator with solvent free household cleaner Keep the wheels clean Ensure that screws and adjustments are properly tightened Immediately contact the nearest dealer if a fault should appear Never use a defective walker Do not attempt repairs yourself Verify brake operation If brake ad
5. brakes must be in braked position when the rollator is used as a support when getting up from a chair for example Loads must only be transported in the basket or on the tray Be careful when there is a heavy load in the basket Max load in the basket is 7 kg and on the tray is 5 kg 3 USAGE 3 1 Using the Rollator We do not recommend that the rollator is issued to anyone without first carrying out a full assessment of their specific needs It is important that the user is given the necessary support by the rollator as pre scribed by a qualified professional This is both for the safety of the user and also their recovery pattern 3 2 Operating Position Release the rollator by pulling the push handles outwards Press on the seat in order to lock the rollator in operating position Always make sure that the lock is engaged before using the rollator A 3 3 Walking Place the rollator a bit in front of you and take a step towards it whilst using the hand grips for support 36 3 4 Sitting Down Stand in front of the chair with the rollator the back of the legs should touch the chair Place the hands on the arms of the chair lean forward slightly and sit down carefully 3 5 Rise to a Standing Position Place the rollator in front of you use the arm rests of the chair as support and rise carefully to a standing position Once steady in a standing position transfer hands to the hand grips of the rollator
