Watchguard a s MODEL WGSMF SOLAR POWERED FLOODLIGHT With MOTION SENSING ACTIVATION INSTALLATION MANUAL v1 0 N517 LED Floodlight and Solar Panel Motion Sensor Package Contents Before commencing installation please ensure you have all the parts listed below 1 x Super Bright 5 x Wall Screws LED Floodlight 1 x Crystalline Silicone Solar Panel 5 x Wall Plugs 1 x 4M Power Cable Please ensure you have read the instruction manual carefully before installing the product Features and Specifications Before operating the solar light for the first time the unit must be switched off and exposed to sunlight for 2 days in order to fully charge the battery Install the solar panel in a location which receives full direct sunlight for a minimum of 8 hours per day to ensure that the battery in the light unit is kept charged The floodlight should not be installed near strong sources of light such as streetlights houselights These light sources can trigger the internal dusk dawn sensor and turn the solar light off The motion sensor detects motion over approx range of 100 degrees at a distance of around 16 feet approx 5 metres After motion is detected and the light is activated the light will automatically switch off after 30 seconds if no further movement is detected The Solar Panel and Floodlight are contained in an IP44 rated weatherproof ABS housing The dimensions of the Floodlight ar2. e 200 H x 160 W x 120 D mm The dimensions of the Solar Panel are 130 H x 145 W x 100 D mm Product Description and Installation Solar Panel 1 The LED light There are 36 IR LEDs in the floodlight The head tilts up and down allowing you to position the light where it is needed 2 The ON OFF Button 3 The Power Socket Connect the plug from the 4 metre power cable to provide power charge to the battery 4 The motion sensor It has a vertical adjustment angle of 100 and a detection range of over 16 Feet Approx 5m 5 Mounting Holes When the two mounting screws have been inserted into the wall where the light will be mounted hook the floodlight onto the screw heads fitting them into the outside holes 6 The solar panel For maximum efficiency it should be mounted in an area which receives at least 8 hours of sunlight a day The panel is on a tilt stand to allow for adjustment to best catch the sun s rays 7 Power Cable Connect the plug into the floodlight power socket Figure 3 to provide power to the light Ensure cable s lowest point Figure 9 is below light to prevent rain water running down into light connection socket 8 Mounting holes Use the three screws provided with the kit to mount the solar panel in the desired location WARRANTY CARD This product is guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship for a period of twelve months from the date of purchase This warranty becomes void if the pr
