VACUUM SHAPE MODELLING CUSHIONS INSTRUCTION FOR USE NOEL thanks you for choosing our product We have designed and manufactured the STABILO System Cushion with an eye to functional needs and safe usage We hope that our product will satisfy your expectations The following instructions are an integral part of the STABILO System Cushions Please read all the instructions before using the STABILO System Cushion The STABILO System Cushion is an anti pressure sore and rehabilitation product designed for adults and children with cerebral palsy compensating for and alleviating the handicap by stabilising the patientin a sitting or lying position Use The cushion which once shaped can be set can be used for anti pressure sore prophylaxis alleviating the effects of remaining in one position for long periods stabilising the patient in the case of frailty the product is intended for patients with cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegia with low muscle tone Wamiings The STABILO System Cushion should be securely fixed to the seat or back Ifit is necessary to increase ventilation around the body use an airing cover Avoid sharp implements which might damage the cushion Do not clean using solvent based cleaners eg toluene or acetone Do not pull on the valve Do not overinflate the cushion Only use the special pump attached to the cushion Do notiron Inthe case of atear microgranules may escape which may be da2. ngerous for small children User s manual 1 Take out the pipe located in the pump handle 2 Screw the tube pipe only into the cushion s valve and wait until the cushion is soft enough 3 Start to shape the cushion either manually to the correct shape or sitting or leaning on it for instance 4 Screw the pump to the pipe and suck out the air until the desired hardness has been reached 5 To change the shape screw the tube to the valve and wait until the cushion softens 6 Due to the expansion of the air with an increase in temperature you may notice in STABILO changes in hardness accompanying changes in temperature a C cushion softens l C cushion hardens 7 You should use the pump to the require hardness when temperature changes much Servicing and cleaning 1 Regularly check the state of the product 2 Before cleaning twist on the valve cap 3 Clean under running water up to 60 C with washing up liquid 4 Is permitted disinfection by typical hospital used liquids 5 You can clean in bath and shower 6 Wipe dry with paper towels 7 Do not use solvent based cleaners such as toluene or acetone The manufacturer gives a 24 months guarantee The guarantee does not cover mechanical damage to the cushion If you have any questions please contact the seller or the manufacturer directly The seller or manufacturer should be informed of all incidents NOEL NOEL as the manufacturer declares that the STABILO S
