The battery range will be reduced when riding frequently on a slope or rough terrain as this leads to greater consumption of power The electromagnetic brake is automatically applied whenever the throttle lever is released and after the SPORTRIDER stops completely 16 of 28 4 OPERATION E Braking Electro magnetic brake Release the throttle lever completely the controller will decelerate the scooter to a stop at which point the electromagnetic brake will be activated automatically and the motor transaxle will be locked 2 Warning When on a gradient NEVER switch the vehicle to the freewheel mode The electromagnetic brakes will not be applied This may result in injury E Seat The seat can be swiveled 90 degrees to either side in 45 degree increments Push the swivel lever forward and swivel seat to the right or to the lett Release the lever and then continue swiveling the seat until it locks into position Attention Return the seat to the forward position before riding HM How to adjust the armrest width Dual Seat Only Loosen the knobs at the receiver tube behind the seat and then adjust the to the desired armrest width by sliding the armrest in or out of the receiver tube Once satisfied with the width tighten the knobs again E How to re position the seat The distance between the seat and tiller can be adjusted forward and back by using the seat slide lever in the single seat option o
3. disconnect the plug or cord when they are wet it may lead to electric shock NOTE The inhibit function will be activated while your scooter is in charging status which will prevent your scooter from being operable 5 2CHARGER Both the chargers red and orange LEDs will be switched ON during charging The green LED will turn on when charging is completed 2 Warning The fan inside the charger will be activated accordingly when you turn on the charger If the fan does not work when connected to the charger or the green light is not showing DO NOT use this charger It may lead to overheating of the charger and cause a fire as a result There is a red LED present on the charger to illustrate operation If this LED does not illuminate the charger is defective please contact your dealer 20 of 28 6 BATTERY CHARGING AND CARE 5 3 BATTERY Do not expose the battery to temperatures below 10 C or above 50 C when charging or storing Charging outside the above temperature range can cause the batteries either to freeze or overheat your vehicle This will damage the batteries and shorten their life The batteries are maintenance free and there is no need to refill with water You are required to recharge the batteries on a regular basis Even if the scooter is not being used you should charge the batteries at least once a month 2 Warning Do not open the battery sealed cap at any time HM Cleaning

5. reverse will result in the scooter slowing down and coming to a stop at which time the electromagnetic brake in the motor transaxle will be applied you will hear a click from the rear of the unit E Signaling 4 Before turning shift the Turn Signal Switch on the handlebar to the desired direction left for left and right for right The light will flash and the safety buzzer will make a beeping sound when turning engaging the switch M Horn Button Depress the horn button to sound the horn Release the button to stop the horn B Headlight Taillight Switch Depress the light switch to turn on the headlight and taillights Push the button again to turn the lights off E Hazard Lights The hazard switch operates all turning lights on the SPORTRIDER Pushing the button once turns the lights ON A second push turns them OFF Suggestion l You should recharge the batteries after each time the vehicle is used to ensure maximum range The batteries should be charged at least once a week even 1f the scooter is being used and once a month 1f it is not being used After charging or replacing the batteries operate the vehicle for 2 3 minutes to make sure the Battery charge is sufficient 3 In winter time the batteries may respond more slowly and the battery range may be reduced When riding on a gradient the battery indicator light might move up and down This is a normal phenomenon so please do not worry
6. the batteries If the batteries are contaminated by water battery acid dust or other substances they will discharge quickly The batteries supplied with the SPORTRIDER are sealed and as such are maintenance free with no risk of battery leakage Please follow the steps below to clean the batteries 1 Turn the scooter power switch to OFF 2 Remove the seat 3 Remove the shroud main cover and unplug the terminals of the taillights and signal lights 4 5 6 Use a clean cloth to wipe off the soiled area Take out the batteries Clean each battery with a clean cloth If the terminal is covered by white powder please wipe it clean using warm water HM Changing the batteries E dl Follow the procedure below step by step to replace the batteries Swivel the seat 45 degrees Remove the seat while pressing on the swivel lever and lifting it up Remove the main shroud making sure to disconnect the taillights and turn signal connectors Disconnect the wires from the four battery terminals Unfasten the Velcro straps and remove the batteries Place the new batteries on scooter and repeat the above steps in reverse 21 of 28 6 INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE Suggestions If necessary ask for help from your dealer for advice about maintaining and replacing the batteries Suggestions Make sure the terminals are installed properly and with the correct polarity Do not use the batteries to charge telecom

Brake To start riding squeeze the throttle lever gently The controller will release the electromagnetic brake and the scooter will begin moving The speed is directly proportional to the deflection of the throttle lever The higher the deflection the higher the speed To stop simply release the throttle lever The SPORTRIDER will slow down gradually and the electromagnetic brake will apply at the end of the stop cycle Additionally emergency braking is possible by using the manual handbrake Squeeze the handbrake lever like in a bicycle for any emergency stop The lever also has a push down lock if you were in the need to keep it depressed To release the emergency brake lock squeeze the handbrake lever again and this will release its lock E Parking After stopping turn the main key to the OFF position and remove the key The lights will turn OFF The electromagnetic brake is engaged ON and will disable drive until the unit 1s powered up again and the throttle lever 1s depressed The handbrake lever can be locked by pushing the lock button while squeezing the handbrake lever To release the handbrake squeeze the lever gently until the lock pops up Handbrake Lever 15 of 28 4 OPERATION 4 4 4 M Forward Reverse Switch Select the desired direction as marked to go forward or reverse In reverse mode a warning buzzer sounds automatically Releasing the throttle lever going forward or

Connect the charger s power cord into the power outlet 3 Open the charging port cap on the scooter s tiller Then connect the charger s plug round to the charging port 4 Turn the ON OFF switch on the charger to the ON position 5 Both the charger s red and orange LEDs will be lit during the charging cycle The charging duration is about 6 8 hours To ensure optimum performance a 10 hour charge is recommended but it is not recommended to leave the scooter on charge for more than 24 consecutive hours 6 At the end of the charging cycle when the batteries are fully charged both the red and green LEDs will be on 7 Turn off the charger disconnect the power cord and the round plug from charger socket on the scooter Suggestion 1 Do not disconnect the charger cord if charging is not completed The battery life will be seriously shortened or decreased 1f the battery is repeatedly used without being fully charged therefore be sure to charge the battery fully every time Always complete the charging until the green LED light comes on NEVER stop charging before the charging cycle 1s completed When fully charged the battery charger will still trickle charge the battery to ensure optimum range If you do not use your scooter for a long time 1t should be charged at least every month to keep the batteries in a usable condition Charging time will be affected by the ambient temperature Charging time will be long

In cases where there is an increase in the operational noise level the warranty does not apply An increase in operational noise level usually occurs due to abusive and excessive strain on the scooter The batteries are warranted by EV Rider for 6 months after the purchase of the Unit Service Warranty service can be performed by EV Rider LLC or by an authorized EV Rider LLC service facility Do not return faulty parts to EV Rider LLC without prior consent A request for a Return Authorization is required prior to returning items All transportation costs and shipping damage incurred while submitting units and or parts for repair or replacement are the responsibility of the original purchaser WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS This warranty is only given to the original purchaser of the Scooter This Warranty excludes e Batteries that are provided free with the scooter See the EV Rider invoice packing slip for additional detail e Consumable items which may need replacing due to normal wear and tear tires tubes belts bulbs upholstery and seating motor brushes fuses plastic shrouds and footrest covers etc e Damaged caused by battery fluid spillage or leakage abuse misuse accident or negligence improper operation excessive loading maintenance or storage commercial use or use other than normal e Used other than for the purpose of the purchaser s mobility e Repairs and or modifications made to any part of the scooter without specific and pr

N AND MAINTENANCE Attention When tread depth is below 0 5mm it can easily lead to vehicle slippage making braking distances longer therefore replace the tires as early as possible to prevent accidents 2 The tire pressure shall be kept at about 35 PSI for the best ride and handling Attention When conducting maintenance of your vehicle please turn the power switch to OFF and remove the charger cords Suggestions Do not splash water directly to wash your scooter as this could lead to malfunction of the system electronics Do not use gasoline solvents or chemical solutions as these may deform or damage the shrouds Do not use wax 6 4 STORAGE Make sure the vehicle is stored under the following conditions Make sure the seat is set in the Forward position Make sure the power switch is turned to OFF Suggestion Please store the scooter in a location where it is away from the direct sunlight rain or dew When storing for a long time please charge the batteries fully and then disconnect the battery terminals For details contact your scooter dealer 6 5 MOVING THE SCOOTER AROUND Turn the power switch OFF before moving it Lift the scooter by the chassis and not by the bumpers Lifting the scooters by the bumper could cause damage or Injury For your safety always ask for help if required You will need 2 or 3 persons when moving or lifting this vehicle 24 of 28 8 TROUBL

17. er in the winter After charging do not leave the charger socket plugged to the scooter as this will cause a power drain on the scooter and temporarily reduce its range The batteries carry a six month manufacturer s warranty This warranty only covers issues related to manufacturing defects It doesn t cover defects as a result of failing to maintain the batteries as instructed above 19 of 28 5 BATTERY CHARGING AND CARE Attention Please follow the rules below to avoid accidents while charging l Use the SPORTRIDER charger only and recharge the battery to its full capacity every time You may damage the battery and or the scooter if you use a different charger Never disassemble or tamper with the charger Charge in a well ventilated space where it is not directly exposed to the sunlight Do not charge in surroundings where it is humid or under rainfall and morning dews Do not cover the scooter with a waterproof cloth or other objects while charging Do not charge in temperatures less than 10 C or higher than 50 C as the charger may not work well and the batteries may become damaged 2 Warning Keep away from flammable objects while charging as it may lead to fire or explosion of the batteries Do not smoke while charging as the battery may release hydrogen gas Always charge your battery in a well ventilated space Never connect or disconnect the plug or cord with wet hands while charging Do not connect or
18. ing Set the speed to LOW or HIGH that you feel safe and comfortable with and appropriate for the environment where you will be using the scooter 7 8 Check the forward reverse speed switch to make sure 1t works correctly Make sure the electromagnetic brake works correctly To check this depress the throttle lever slightly and then release 1t You should hear the brake clicking 2 WARNING Do not freewheel your scooter on a gradient Do not change the speed selector position while riding Do not turn the main key switch to OFF while in motion this 1s may cause abrupt and excessive deceleration which in turn may cause injury to the user and damage to the SPORTRIDER Always re engage the freewheel lever before use Failure to do so may result in injury To protect your safety the power will automatically cut off and the electromagnetic brake system will activate while you are riding down a steep gradient This will limit the speed to a safe level Turn the power on again to re start your scooter Maximum User Weight Limit Refer to section titled MAX USER WEIGHT in 9 SPECIFICATION Loading the scooter beyond the weight limit may lead to damage of your scooter or cause it to malfunction and will endanger your safety The warranty does not cover this type of damage gt Attention Do not set your scooter to the highest speed while riding indoors Do not place magnetic devices near the area of the opera
