3. the animated odometer is measuring distance Alarm is on Approach S1 Owner s Manual Acquiring Satellite Signals You cannot start a round until the device acquires satellites It may take 30 60 seconds to acquire satellite signals 1 Ifnecessary press OK to exit power save mode 2 Go outdoors to an open area 3 Wait while the device searches for satellites Starting a Round 1 From the time page press menu 2 Select Start Round 3 Select a course from the list The device automatically starts on the closest hole to your position Approach S1 Owner s Manual Hole View The device shows the current hole you are playing The device automatically transitions when you move to a new hole NOTE Because pin locations change the device calculates the distance to the front middle and back of the green and not the actual pin location Current hole number Distance to the back of the green Distance to the middle of the green __ Distance to the front of the green _ Indicates par for the hole Measuring Your Shot Before you can measure a shot you must start a round 1 Press and hold menu 2 Select Measure Shot 3 Walk to your ball As you walk the distance appears on the screen Resetting the Distance If you do nothing the distance value is automatically reset when you go to the next hole 1
