Switch on the Digta 420 by means of the On Off s Switch and keep the NEW button pressed until the initial signal appears on the display hour glass and progress bar 10 Easy IMbpE All functions needed for dictating play back or erasing dictations work in the Easy Mboe Initial Display View A dictation name and the length of the dica tion is displayed In case that there are no dictations stored the Start Stop indicator G gt and the battery indicator MI E or the rechargeable battery indicator will appear on the display i Pay attention to the remaining free memory space When the remaining memory space is less than 60 minutes the remaining memory space will appear in the upper right corner of the display Create a New Dictation Move the slide switch to gt BE lt Press the NEW button to starta new dictation The Digta 420 will switch over to the recording pause IH the LED indi cator of the Digta 420 will blink red picTooos 0 00 Move the slide switch to the gt START lt position to start the recording The Start Stop indicator gt starts to rotate The dictation length counter starts to run DICT0003 0 08 NOTE W In case that workflow functions such as typist group dictation type priority or No refer ence have been activated in the Menu M you now will be prompt to select an item by using
