TION This Palm Sander is designed to give an exceptional finish on wood surfaces and speed stock removal It will also remove lacquer varnish and other coated finishes It can sand flush against all three sides of the tool and fit into tight places It has many features that will make your job faster easier and more convenient Safety per formance and dependability have been given top priority in the design of this tool as well as making it easy to maintain and operate A WARNING Carefully read through the entire manual before attempting to use this tool Be sure to pay special attention to the safety rules and all the Warnings and Cautions throughout this manual WARNING Read and understand all instructions Failure to follow all instruc tions listed below may result in electric shock fire and or serious personal injury SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS KRAFTtech PS160CA 3 Page 2 GENERAL SAFETY RULES ELECTRICAL SAFETY Double insulated tools are eguipped with a polarized plug FIG 1 X one blade is wider than the other This plug will fit in a po S larized outlet only one way If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet reverse the plug If it still does not fit contact a quali fied electrician to install a polarized outlet Do not change the plug in any way Double insulation eliminates the need for the three wire grounded power cord and grounded power supply system See FIG 1 FOR SAFE OPERATION Gonside

6. e cord or yank the cord to disconnect it from the socket Keep the cord away from heat oil and sharp edges Secure your work Use clamps or a vice to hold the work It is safer than using your hand and it frees both hands to operate the tool Do not overreach Keep proper footing and balance at all times KRAFTtech PS160CA 3 Page 3 GENERAL SAFETY RULES Maintain tool with care Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer perfor mance Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories Inspect tool cord periodically and if damaged have it repaired by an authorized service facility Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged Keep handles dry clean and free from 0il and grease Disconnect tools Always unplug the tool when it is not in use before servicing and when changing accessories such as blades bits and cutters Remove adjusting keys and wrenches Form the habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool before turning it on Avoid unintentional starting Do not carry a plugged in tool with a finger on the switch Make sure the switch is off when plugging tool in Use outdoor extension cords When tool is used outdoors use only extension cords intended for outdoor use Stay alert Watch what you are doing Use common sense Do not operate the tool when you are tired Replace damaged cords immediately Use of damaged cords can
