1. 3 5 1 Disarmed Mode In Disarmed mode Idle mode if it is not in programming or memory trouble display modes the indicators behave as follows Memory and trouble indicators are continuously lit or off according to the status and per their display modes The ALARM indication is off The buzzer generates warning beeps in trouble conditions if trouble beeps are set and in trouble condition and generates key beeps on keypad operations You can disarm a panel whether alarmed or not from the L 2 panel as follows By using the key switch L 2 By entering code L 2K you can disarm the system AuraSvs M L 2 User Guide 13 Operating the AuraSvs L 2 Svstem Oncethe code entry is approved by the control panel the Disarm Ready indicator turns on the system updates the indicator status the buzzer emits the acknowledge sound and the system returns to idle state 3 5 2 Armed Mode Zone indicators do not behave in the same way in Armed mode as they do in Disarmed mode The system accepts arming requests from the panel when disarmed Arming the system through the L 2 is done by toggling between Armed Away and Disarmed by entering a code in the L 2K or turning the key in the L 2 3 6 User Modes There AuraSys L 2 system supports a single User mode only in contrast to the L 4 and L 6 models which support additional modes 3 6 1 User A user code is assigned for arming disarming the system only Up t

Arm Away single pulse Disarm dual pulse Emergency alarm Trouble alert 4 9 Entry Exit Delay Options Entry and Exit actions delay the alarm mode and allow the system to ignore zone violations as described below 4 9 1 Entry Delay Entry delay allows a user a grace period for the time it takes to open the door reach the control panel and disarm the system If a zone of type Delay is violated while the system is armed except Instant Arming the system does not enter Alarm mode during the Entry Delay period setting If the delay has transpired and the system still has not been disarmed the system enters Alarm mode During Entry Delay the system signals warning beeps at two rates slower rate and faster rate during the last 10 seconds of the delay period The Entry Delay period can be between 3 to 99 seconds and its default value is 45 seconds 4 9 2 Exit Delay Exit delay allows the user a grace period for the time it takes to reach the door from the control panel when arming the system upon exit When arming a panel the system ignores zone violations during the Exit Delay period Once the delay has transpired the system enters armed mode The system may be disarmed during the Exit Delay period During Exit Delay the system signals the internal sounder 2 to sound warning beeps at two rates slower rate and faster rate during the last 10 seconds of the delay period The Exit Delay period can be between 3

11. ned at setup A Calls central station for reporting Performs other reporting private phone Activates sounder Activates PGM output as defined The system enters Alarm mode for any intrusion burglary related event that persists longer than 400 ms The system enters Trouble mode for any fault event that persists longer than 10 seconds The system is considered as armed during entry and exit delay and behaves accordingly except in the case of a walkthrough 4 3 Alarm Mode Disarmed When disarmed the AuraSys L 2 system enters Alarm mode for each 24 hour zone Alarms trigger only for panic emergency fire 24 hour audible and silent conditions In this state the system continuously checks zone status and holds the Ready Status parameter This parameter determines whether the system is ready to arm The system becomes Ready to Arm when zones are either closed or bypassed or force arming is enabled AuraSys L 2 User Guide 15 Using the AuraSvs L 2 Security System In all other cases the svstem status is Not Readv In the Not Readv condition the svstem is unable to arm 4 4 Arming Options When the user enters a code or kev switch command the svstem responds as follows If the code is valid and correctly entered the arming disarming operation succeeds In case of a wrong code entry the system allows you to immediately re enter the code while also signaling an error indication to the user In the case of

17. wed by the code to arm disarm the system 4 6 Forced Arming If Forced Arming is enabled the system is able to arm when zones are in violation open but not defined as bypassed In such a case the system treats zones of this type automatically as bypassed zones for the arming period These bypassed definitions expire either upon disarming or once the zones are closed or supervised again during the arming period Depending on how the feature is defined during setup a report is sent to the central station This option is disabled by default 4 7 Disarming Process Users can disarm an armed system by entering their code Disarming causes the system to behave as follows Disarming a system both disarms it and stops an alarm condition Upon receiving a disarm request from the keypad the system allows up to 45 seconds for an authorized disarm code entry If it fails to receive a disarm code in this period the system enters Alarm mode When an alarm condition occurs during the disarming process the system triggers a full alarm The alarm stops on next disarming operation 4 8 Siren The siren is activated upon alarm emergency or violation of a 24 hour zone The siren timeout is set by the installer and turns off upon disarm command The siren also features momentary pulses squawk for the following events that can be enabled according to the requirements AuraSvs M L 2 User Guide 17 Using the AuraSvs L 2 Security System
