12. apter then make sure the power source supplies REGULATED 12 volts DC and is capable of supplying at least 650 milliamps of current Some LEDs seem brighter than the others during rotation The comparative light output of the LEDs may seem different from one LED to the next when in fact they are all the same This effect is noticeable only if one or two LEDs are lit and the illumination angle is rotated slowly The illumination will appear to fluctuate as the rotation angle is changed This is caused by minor differences in light beam angle from one LED to the next If this is effect is undesirable then simply increase the number of LEDs that are lit by one or two The ring light fell off of the lens Make sure the thumb screws are very tight DO NOT TIGHTEN THE THUMBSCREWS WITH PLIERS OR ANY OTHER TOOL US ONLY FINGERS TO TIGHTEN The OrbiLight has a light weight diecast aluminum frame but it can easily slip off of some lenses unless it is very tightly mounted Can t control intensity of just a few LEDs only all LEDs This is the normal operation for the OrbiLight ring light The right mouse button turns on all LEDs before dimming them If you need to change the intensity while also controlling the angle of the light then simply use the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the number of LEDs that are lit This changes the intensity without substantially changing the light beam width Mouse movement is too sensitive We have seen some mice

19. limited functionality This may be desirable for situations where totally hands free operation is desired or where there is no suitable workspace for a mouse Functions are limited to the five presets listed above under Automatic rotation modes and are controlled by repeatedly pressing the power auto switch in the auto position Operation with a track ball mouse Some users may prefer to use a track ball mouse instead of the traditional mouse Itis perfectly acceptable to operate the OrbiLight using a track ball mouse as long as it has the wheel function and is PS 2 compatible The wheel function on a track ball mouse may be in the form of a ring around the ball All track ball PS 2 mice have the equivalent of a left and right mouse button For those who are not familiar with track ball mice they consist of a stationary base with a large ball on top that the user rolls around with their fingers Most users will probably find the conventional mouse to be a more intuitive interface Operation with a hand held track ball mouse A hand held track ball mouse will work with the OrbiLight as long as it has a wheel function This may be suitable for applications where desk space is scarce For those who are not familiar with hand held track ball mice they are similar to a track ball mouse as discussed earlier but the mouse is designed to be grasped with four fingers and the ball and buttons manipulated with the thumb 13 JUN 08 2006 Operatio
