Fi sleep policy Select a Wi Fi sleep policy to use Using a static IP address You can set up the phone to connect to a Wi Fi network using a static IP address To set up a static IP address From the Home screen tap the applications bar Tap Settings gt Wireless controls gt Wi Fi settings Press HE Tap Advanced Mark the Use static IP checkbox Tap and enter the information needed for your Wi Fi network IP address Gateway Netmask DNS 1 DNS 2 Press HE and tap Save 48 Le e aw 1 LA P x Web browser The web browser in your phone is fully optimised and comes with advanced functionality such as wireless web and Google Search You must have a Wi Fi or an active 2G 3G mobile data connection to access the Internet Before using the Internet Your phone allows you to access the Internet using a Wi Fi connection or using a 2G 3G mobile data connection To access the Internet with your phone using a 2G 3G mobile data connection you need a phone subscription that includes data transmission and settings to use a 2G 3G mobile data connection In most cases settings for connecting to the Internet using a 2G 3G mobile data connection will be automatically downloaded to your phone the first time you turn on the phone with a SIM card inserted To access the Internet using a Wi Fi connection you need to be in range of a Wi Fi network and granted access by the network administrator See Internet and messaging settings
