4. time If this is the case the seal may not make good contact with the cabinet when the door is closed To revert the seal back to its original form simply heat the seal with a hairdryer for no more than 1 minute Always ensure the hairdryer is at least 20cm away from the door seal and allow the seal to cool for a minimum of 2 minutes before closing the door 14 Installing the decor door panel The mounting bracket adjusting pins and cover trim which are required to install the d cor door are fitted to the outside of the appliance door during transportation see Figure A To remove these parts e Open the appliance door e Remove the cover trim by levering it out with a screw driver as shown in Figure E e Remove locking nut 3 see Fig C to enable the mounting bracket to be removed To install the decor door e Screw the mounting bracket 1 onto the rear of the decor door panel with the screws provided observing the measurements shown in Fig B The 15mm gap will provide a 5mm clearance between the underside of the worktop and the top of the decor door panel e Screw the two adjusting pins 2 fully into the appliance door e Position the decor door on the appliance door and hook the mounting plate over the adjusting pins e Loosely secure in position using locking nut 3 Fig e Unscrew the adjusting pins to leave a gap of approximately 9mm as shown in Fig C Fig A 15 Fig B Fig C Installing under the worktop e Th

8. decor door to ensure correct alignment If necessary e Loosen the locking nuts e Adjust the height of the adjusting pins Y as required to a maximum of or 3 5mm as shown in Figure D2 overleaf e Adjust the side measurement X by means of the slots in the mounting bracket as shown in Figure D2 to a maximum of or 3mm e Unscrew the adjusting pins until contact is made with the mounting plate then secure in position with the locking nuts e Once final adjustments have been made take the 2 L shaped brackets supplied with the fixing kit and locate loosely in the pre drilled holes on the underside of the appliance door as shown in Figure D2 e Secure in position on the d cor door using 4 screws e Re position and tighten the screws on the underside of the appliance door IMPORTANT Once installation is complete re fit the cover trim as shown in Figure D3 as this turns the light off when the appliance door is closed Fig D3
9. e appliance can be installed into a niche with a height between 820 870mm The height of the appliance can be increased by adjusting the feet using a 30mm open ended spanner as shown in Figure D e 820mm high opening Locate the appliance into position and level accordingly e 870mm high opening Increase the height of the feet by approximately 50mm Locate the appliance in position and level accordingly e Once in position ensure the decor door panel lies flush with the adjacent cabinetry then fix the appliance to the underside of the worktop by means of the stability bracket 4 See Fig D2 Adjusting the plinth depth Using the appliance s plinth e Open the appliance door e Grip the appliance s plinth and pull forwards until it is aligned with the plinth of the adjacent cabinetry Using a continuous plinth e Open the appliance door e Grip the appliance s plinth and pull forwards until aligned with the rear of the continuous plinth e Cut away the continuous plinth as shown in Figure D ensuring the ventilation slots are not blocked e In both cases secure the plinth in position by turning the screws 6 clockwise until considerable resistance is felt as shown in Figure D1 1 1 1 SV y max 43 5 L ih iht WN i Eii j Fig D1 Final adjustments to the decor door panel Once the appliance is in its final location it may be necessary to make some minor adjustments to the
10. e following EC directives B T 73 23 CEE 93 68 CEE Cleaning the interior prior to use Prior to use clean all internal parts with warm water and neutral detergent to remove the new odour and dry thoroughly Never use abrasive detergents and or powders which can damage the finish For installation instructions see rear of manual OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS Operation Temperature regulation To switch on the appliance turn the thermostat knob clockwise from stop to the required cooling temperature e low numbers less cool e high numbers cooler Freezers can be fitted with indicator lights as follows orange light for continuous functioning green light for normal functioning red alarm light when the temperature is too high The internal appliance temperature remains constant automati cally An intermediate thermostat setting is generally recommended e At higher thermostat settings with high ambient temperatures and a large amount of stored food operation may be continuous with the formation of frost or ice on the cooler walls In this case position the thermostat knob at a lower setting on some models defrosting is automatic while models with an ice cube compartment or with the amp amp symbols and freezers have to be manually defrosted see instructions This will ensure correct functioning of the appliance and also save on your electricity bill Storing food and drink For optimal
11. e it to the appropriate collection centres Identifying different types of plastic To facilitate the recycling of plastics you will find symbols identifying the type of material used to make a particular item Identification examples e PS Polystyrene which can also be the foamed type normally used for packing e PE Polyethylene e PP Polypropylene e ABS e SAN 12 028 028 13 Fig B Reversing The Door Swing Should you wish to reverse the direction in which the door opens 1 e from left to right or right to left please follow the instructions detailed below Never attempt to reverse the door opening by turning the door upside down The existing new hinges depending on model must always be moved to the opposite side of the door as shown above The door should always remain the correct way up e Slacken the retaining screws 1 on the appliance e Remove the appliance door e Lever off the cover caps 3 with a knife blade e Insert retaining screws 1 on the opposite side as shown above screw in so as to secure but do not tighten e Remove the door retaining screws 2 and relocate the hinges as shown above e Locate the door in the previously inserted screws and tighten e Insert cover caps 3 into the exposed holes where the hinges were previously located Please note When reversing the door of the appliance the door seal on the side of the existing hinges may have become compressed over
12. eezer defrosting e 24 hours before defrosting turn the thermostat knob to the maximum setting on the appliance and turn on the continuous mode switch orange indicator light on the appliance This ensures sufficient cooling of food and preparation to empty the compartment e Remove the frozen items food in the refrigerator compartment of the appliance must also be removed and store in a cool and dry place to prevent rapid defrosting e Disconnect the power supply and set the thermostat knob to e Leave the appliance door ajar the freezer has a channel through which the melted ice will drip into a container of any kind Appliances with an internal compartment have a shelf that separates the compartment from the rest of the refrigerator this shelf has a hole through which the water can drip into a container that you must put underneath Once it has defrosted completely clean it thoroughly and then put the shelf back in place e On completion of defrosting clean the appliance interior with warm water and a little vinegar and dry thoroughly Reconnect the appliance to the power supply and set the thermostat knob to maximum Put the food back into the freezer and after two or three hours reposition the thermostat knob at the normal setting Refrigerator lamp e The central section of the thermostat box is fitted with a lamp for internal lighting If replacement is required disconnect the appliance from the power supp
13. g and loss of vitamins Bags and or foil must be pliable to adapt correctly to the food e We recommend marking each item or on specific labels the date of freezing and the expiry date You will find a diagram depicting animals and food on the freezer counter doors indicating for how many months it is possible to keep them in the freezer This is only applicable if freezing was done properly and the food was fresh Never place liquids and or sparkling drinks in hermetically sealed containers in the freezer compartment as they can explode Defrosting the appliance Frost on the inner cooling walls of the refrigerator is eliminated automatically every time the motor compressor is shut down Water from melted frost is collected by means of a channel which leads to a tray installed above the motor compressor at the rear of the unit Heat generated by the motor compressor ensures evaporation of the water If the above does not occur set the thermostat to a lower setting Periodically clean the defrost water drain outlet at the centre of the tray in the refrigerator compartment 10 Frost should be removed from the freezer compartment once it reaches a thickness of over 3 4 mm If on the other hand a layer of ice has formed then defrost it completely following the freezer defrost instructions Never use metal objects or anything that is pointed to remove the ice as it could damage the appliance irreparably E gt Fr
