N PRINTMAN2 RECORDERS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A PC or LAPTOP THE MENU MODULE IS TEMPORARILY PLUGGED INTO THE PRINTMAN RS232 PORT THE PARAMETERS SET AND THE MODULE REMOVED FOR USE ON OTHER UNITS PLEASE STORE IN A DRY ENVIROMMENT THE MODULE HAS NO INTERNAL BATTERY SINCE IT DERIVES ITS POWER FROM THE RECORDER SO NEEDS NO MAINTENANCE This Menu Module is designed to operate with Printman2 recorders supplied by Storm Controls Ltd and manufactured after August 2009 Serial Numbers after SCP 3013 and all SCL SM2 versions It will not operate with Printman Recorders manufactured by Storm Products or Clyde Valley Control Systems Ltd Important Information Menu Module for STORM CONTROLS LTD PRINTMAN 2 RECORDERS Type Printman 2 SCL SM2 versions Failure to observe this instruction may invalidate the module warranty The unit warranty does not allow for users tampering with the unit or gaining access to the internal printed circuit board or components of the unit Only Storm approved personnel should attempt to carry out repairs or alterations to the unit or its software The Menu Module Assembly is not waterproof so should not be used or stored in a situation that can damage the unit due to water or other fluid ingress Page 3 2 POWERING UP THE MENU MODULE 2 1 The Menu Module can be plugged into the Printman2 recorder a HOT Para2 2 i e when the recorder is powered on and operating normally or b COLD Para2 3

9. en without power at any period within the From To dates the print out will not be continuous so expect gaps within the printout Be aware that any gaps could contain the From date Page 9 The Recorder has 3 alarm settings 4 9 Change Alarm This function is used to assign each channel alarm to Frozen Chilled or Off Default is OFF Press the 7s key to enter the function OFF FROZEN CHILLED SENSOR 1 SENSOR 1 SENSOR 1 Use the key to step throughout the selections as show above To accept the selection for Sensor Press and release the Upp key to accept and move the selection to the next Sensor Channel Repeat for channels 2 3 amp 4 Note It is necessary to step through the Sensors channels from 1 to 4 before you can exit this parameter and return to the menu using the Z key again Leave any sensors not in use at OFF 4 10 Set Alarm Dela The alarm delay is the time that an out of temperature condition has to be active before it is treated as an alarm and activates the recorder alarm functions Use the or keys to scroll throughout the numbers 0 60 above the asterisk Press and release the i key to accept and move the to the next character CURRENT ALARM Exit to main menu from the alarm delay DELAY 30 mins gt set up loop using this command Alarms Should an alarm occur the display will show ALARM at the appropriate channel on the display but only
