4. is when you place the AdTrap in between a MODEM and ROUTER V Line Unplug Plug in the Ethernet cable from your the power from the MODEM into the WAN port of the MODEM AdTrap Power LN WAN Unplug the power from the ROUTER o Plug in the included Network cable from theLAN port of the AdTrap to the Internet port ofyour ROUTER Internet port AdTrap User s Manual Page 8 oo Plug the power back into your MODEM and Wait 1 minute for it to boot up Plug the power back into your AdTrap and ROUTER Check the Indicator Lights on the front of the AdTrap and please wait up to 5 minutes to see the Heartbeat light and the Internet Connectivity light flashing Wait 5 minutes g Heartbeat Internet Power Flashing light Connectivity Solid light Flashing then Solid light Please wait for the Internet light to stop flashing and be solid before continuing Your internet should now be Ad Free Recommended Delete your internet cache in your browser Optional You can download the AdTrap Setup Utility from our website to gain access to the settings page for advanced options and whitelist pages you want to see ads on AdTrap User s Manual Page 9 ADTRAP SETTINGS Use To monitor various configuration options and operational status of the AdTrap Access AdTrap Settings 1 The Default Access is located on a label at the bottom of your AdTrap In your

8. d prompt and type in nslookup and paste Ctrl V the previously copied AdTrap Anywhere Hostname next to it click enter ii Mac Open terminal and type in nslookup and paste Ctrl V the previously copied AdTrap Anywhere Hostname next to it click enter Go to your Android Device Go to play store and download install proxyDroid Open proxy droid and grant permission to open Click Host and type in your hostname from step 7 Click Port and type in port from Step 7 Enable Authentication Type in the username and password from step 5 amp 6 Enable Proxy and you should be all done AdTrap User s Manual Page 16 Basic Troubleshooting Factory Reset Use the factory reset to restore the AdTrap to its original state This will also reset the password The updates and rules of the AdTrap will not be affected Steps Unplug all cables including the power Plug in the power cable only to the AdTrap On the front of the AdTrap look for the green number 1 light to be ON This will take 15 30 seconds Once the light is on wait 5 seconds D Unplug the power and plug it in again Repeat steps 3 5 until you see all 4 lights flashing and wait 5 seconds Your AdTrap is now successfully reset Unplug power and continue installing your AdTrap UT I m not getting on the Internet It may take over 5 minutes to establish a connection the first time you power up your AdTrap Always leave your AdTrap plug
9. ged into AC power and connected to your network Check the front panel lights e The power light should be on e The heartbeat light should be flashing e The internet light should be flashing or on Check your cable connections Connectors should be pushed in all the way and not be pinched kinked or bent sharply If Internet status light is flashing 1 With everything connected log into the AdTrap 2 Click on the update tab and then click the update button AdTrap will look for updates and also does integrity check of the file system 3 Wait 2 minutes and the Internet should be working The 4th Internet light should also be solid No Internet Status Light 1 Do you have a blinking Heartbeat light Light 1 AdTrap User s Manual Page 17 a No Unplug and plug in power on AdTrap and wait 30 seconds for Heartbeat light b Yes Continue to Step 2 2 Turn off modem Adtrap and router Reset the modem Some modems have a battery pack which needs to be removed or a reset button 3 Wait about 2 minutes for modem to turn on and then turn on AdTrap and router 4 Once you have Internet light wait about 2 more minutes and check for Internet connectivity I can get on the Internet but everything is slow 1 If the website you are visiting is very popular that site may be having trouble servicing all the requests If other sites download quickly wait for a few minutes and try again If you notice all network activity is s
