Primus Medical Banatnc Bed Model PPB2000 is guaranteed fora 3 year penod from the date of delivery This guarantee isagainst defects in matenals and craftsmanship under nomal use and service This 3 year warranty includes electncal and mechanical parts and components Welds are covered under lifetime waranty of the product Steel structural components are covered underthe 15 year waranty from the date of delivery Damage caused by use in inappropnate environmental conditions mistreatment or failure to maintain the product in agreement with user and service instructions is not covered under waranty Any change adjustments or repair unless performed or authonzed in wnting by Primus Medical will void the waranty Parts Pimus Medical bedscontain a vanety of parts that wear from nomal use Some products are not covered underthe 3 year waranty but do fall under the 90 day warranty such as DC battenes Pnmus Medical s responsibility under this warranty Is limited to supplying replacement parts servicing orreplacing at its option which isfound to be faulty by Phnmus Medical Warranty replacement parts are covered by the warranty until the product s 3 year warranty penod expires For warranty replacement Pnmus Medical requests that broken parts be sent back to them forevaluation A credit will be issued only after the inspection Service A majonty of service requests can be handled by the facility maintenance department with assist

13. lot and use the 3 16 Hex bolt to hold each retainer into place e For82 length use the hole that isclosest to the head foot board For 84 length use the hole that is farthest from the head foot board e Place mattresson mattress support deck and make sure mattress fits snugly in the Mattress Retainers Replace mattress making sure mattress fills length between Mattress Retainer stops Also make sure the mattress doesnot compress below 1 5 under patient resident weight HEADBOARD AND FOOTBOARD INSTALLATION AND ADJ USIMENT NOTE 3 16 Hex key required for initial mounting of headboard and footboard support assemblies e Using a 3 16 Hexkey bolt the head and foot board to the mounting brackets e Unscrew knobson each side of support assembly at both endsof the bed frame DOC 040 2210 PPB2000 Owner s Manual REV 003 e Place the mounting brackets of the headboard footboard into the slots of the support assembly NOTE The mounting bracketson the head foot board should have the push pull bar facing away from the bed e Slide headboard footboard down until it stops e Screw the knobs back in on each side of the support assembly to lock the headboard footboard in position SIDE RAIL ASSEMBLY Tools needed 5 16 5 32 Hex key and 3 2 Wrench and Socket e Remove the protection paper that is around the side rails by removing the 4 boltson the back of the side rails using 5 32 hex key Rem
14. ove the rill DOC 040 2210 PPB2000 Owners Manual REV 003 MEDICAL paperand place the bolts back onto the side rails Do this for both side rails The side rails are now ready to be assembled on the bed frame e Locate side rail retaineron each side of the bed frame NOTE Use thisasa guide to place side rallsin corect spot e Place side railon side of bed with one end into the side rail retainer e The holeson the bracket of the side rail should fall below mattressdeck e Slide a washeronto a bolt and insert the bolt as shown e Us a Wrench and Socket to tighten the bolt e Repeat the previous step forthe remaining bolts forthe side rails NOTE It isnormalto have some play in the side rail A WARNING Patient entrapment with side rails may cause injury ordeath To prevent patient entrapment the mattress must fit the bed frame and side rails snugly Please follow the manufacturer s instructions and monitor patient frequently Please read and understand the owner s operator s manual pnorto using thisbed If rail is positioned incorrectly this may result in PATIENT ENTRAPMENT To prevent PATIENT ENTRAPMENT the rail needsto be placed in the conrect area use the side rail retaineras your guide WIDTH EXTENSION No tools needed e Choose which width the bed needsto be extended to e Thiswidth extension expands by using the push button mechanism the extension is pulled out to the first stickeron the

19. ts on the control box are colorcoded so they can be reinstalled later Removing the Motor Identify the motor that needs replaced Tip bed on its side to remove the Hi Lo motors Unplug motor cord from control box Motoris held in place by 2 cotter pins Those can be removed with your fingers Slide pins out of holes they should come nght out e You can now replace motor e To reassemble bed reverse previous steps and make sure to Assemble cotter pins as onginally installed Pagel DOC 040 2210 PPB2000 Owner s Manual REV 003 m Zip ties should be replaced with cords to their onginal position and routing direction to the control box Removing the AC PowerCord tools needed T10 Star Key e Unplug powercord from wall outlet Locate powercord end on control box Unscrew 4 bolts from the control box Lift power cord from control box and remove 2 wires from the terminal inside the control box Dispose of the broken powercord Reattach 2 new wiresto terminal inside control box Screw 4 bolts back on to the control box Plug powercord back into wall outlet OPTIONAL TRAPEZE Tools needed 7 32 and 9 16 Hex Key NOTE It isrecommended that the Trapeze be assembled one side ata time e Mount the 2 Trapeze ams vertical by bolting them to the 2 mounting plates at the endsof the bed e These ams will be mounted on by 4 7 32 Hex bolts e Afterthe bolts are tightened on both bars on both sidest
