ROKSAN Roksan Audio Jubilee Close Townsend Lane London NW9 8XD TEL 44 0 20 8900 6801 FAX 44 0 20 8205 2644 www roksan co uk Email info roksan co uk Congratulations on your acquisition of the CORUS Si ver moving magnet cartridge Having now made your purchase we do not consider it inappropriate to confirm that you have one of the best MM cartridges currently available Please study these instructions carefully Correct installation of your CORUS Silver cartridge will enhance the sound quality of your record playing system and reward you with many years of listening pleasure Introduction The CORUS Silver is a high quality moving magnet cartridge which features a substantial yet light glass filled body with integral threaded inserts for easy fixing to tonearm headshell an much improved mechanical coupling compared to the traditional nut amp bolt fixing It also incorporates the same diamond stylus profile as the Roksan flagship MC cartridge the SHIRAZ To ensure optimum performance always use genuine Roksan replacement stylus assembly for your CORUS Silver cartridge RED Right channel signal rad GREEN Right channel return ground Left channel signal BLUE Left channel return ground Attach the cartridge to the tonearm headshell using the stainless steel socket cap screws provided Nuts are not required as the body of the cartridge is fitted with nonmagnetic inserts that ensure proper mec2. hanical contact and improve performance Carefully remove the stylus guard and set the tracking force at approximately 1 9 grammes Replace the stylus guard and adjust the VTA Vertical Tracking Angle by placing the cartridge onto the record player mat see diagram Using the alignment protractor provided with your tonearm carefully align the cartridge in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions Tighten the cartridge fixing screws with the Allen key provided DO NOT over tighten these screws Re check and if necessary re set the tracking weight Using a record on the mat observe the cartridge alignment in the headshell It should be parallel to the record when viewed from the front and the side see diagram PLATTER CARTRIDGE ALIGNMENT The stylus assembly of the CORUS Silver is easily removed for replacement Carefully hold the stylus housing and pull in the direction shown for removing and vice versa to fit the replacement stylus assembly Please note when fitting a new stylus assembly the locating peg must align with the peg hole in the cartridge body then gently push the assembly home until it is flush with the cartridge body see diagram IMPORTANT To ensure optimum performance always use genuine Roksan replacement stylus assembly for your CORUS cartridge There are no user serviceable parts inside you
