8. b hosting directory with each V replaced with a W For example if Tomcat installation directory was C Apache Tomcat4 the hosting directory is webapps ROOT in the Tomcat directory the absolute path of the web hosting directory would be C Apache Tomcat4 webapps ROOT So the line C WProgram Files Apache Group Tomcat 4 1 webapps ROOT Should be replaced with the line C Apache Tomcat4 webapps ROOT Setting the Host Address Two things are needed here a The system IP b The post number used by the web server Tomcat uses 8080 Know the URL of the web server and set it as follows 1 Open SemanticEmail commons Constants java with a notepad 2 Find the lines http localHost 8080 3 Replace the second line with the URL of the web server on your system For example if the system IP 1s 161 12 103 41 and Tomcat 1s being used the URL would be http 161 12 103 41 8080 So replace the line http localHost 8080 with http 161 12 103 41 8080 Sometimes router of a subnet through which the system has been connected to the web can be set to direct all incoming requests to one web server on this system automatically In such cases the port number of the web server need not be appended to the system IP to get the URL Refer to the Network Administrator to get URL of the host address URL of the web server running on your system in such cases Setting the Response Directory You need to d
9. ecide where he wants to collect all the user responses excel files submitted either through emails and collected EmailInterface or through web interface and set it as follows 1 Open SemanticEmail commons Constants java with a notepad 2 Find the lines C SemanticEmail 3 Replace the second line with the absolute path of the directory decided upon with each V in the path replaced with a V For example if the decided directory is D Responses September Replace the line C SemanticEmail with 3 D Responses September Finalizing the Changes After making the necessary modifications the constants need to be finalized the file Constants java needs to be recompiled and all the old copies of it replaced For this simply run the batch file Semantic Email commons RecompileConstants bat If any anti spyware script blocker notice pops up on running this batch file just approve the running of the script and re run if necessary SET UP THE ODBC DATA SOURCE The project directory has a file SemanticEmail mdb which is the database in it Move it to a chosen location where it could lie peacefully undisturbed if you think it 1s necessary This location is needed to set up an ODBC data source connected to the database SemanticEmail mdb It requires reconfiguring the data source whenever the location of this file needs to be changed After choosing a location for the database and moving it there Add a new
