1. All provisioning is performed on the sector controller Subscriber Links Enable a wireless connection between the base station and a subscriber and set the uplink and downlink rates UBR Service Groups Define packet filtering at the sector controller Ethernet port and set parameters for broadcast multicast groups Services Define packet filtering at the subscriber Ethernet port and set parameters for subscriber unicast traffic Use the following provisioning functions to set up a Pass through configuration no VLAN support and have the RDL 3000 system transparently pass all Ethernet traffic 3 1 Create Subscriber Link Create a Subscriber Link named Link 1 to enable a wireless link to the subscriber 1 Click Provisioning gt New Subscriber Link in the main menu 2 Enter data for the following fields Link Name Link 1 Peer MAC Subscriber MAC address Use factory defaults for all other fields 3 Click Apply to activate this wireless link Click Links Summary to verify the link has become active 4 Click Save All in the main menu to permanently save changes 70 00160 01 01 Proprietary Redline Communications 2011 Page 4 of 6 March 15 2011 4Gon www 4Gon co uk info 4gon co uk Tel 44 0 1245 808295 Fax 44 0 1245 808299 RDL 3000 Quick Start Guide redline 3 2 Create a Service Group Create a Service Group named Group 1 to forward all Ethernet traffic received on the sector controller Ethernet port 1 Click

Configuration gt New Service Group in the main menu 2 Enter data for the following fields Name Group 1 Tagging mode Pass through SC Ethernet Enable Click to check the box Use defaults for all other fields 3 Click Apply to activate this Service Group 4 Click Save All in the main menu to permanently save changes 3 3 Create Subscriber Connections Create a Service named Service 1 to forward all Ethernet traffic received on the subscriber Ethernet port 1 Click Provisioning gt New Service in the main menu 2 Enter data for the following fields Name Service 1 Tagging mode Pass through Use factory defaults for all other fields 3 Click Apply to activate this Service 4 Click Save All in the main menu to permanently save changes The system is now configured to pass Ethernet traffic over the wireless interface RDL 3000 Pass Through Configuration Central ites Remote Network ii i Network Grounding and Surge Protection If you have determined that surge protection is required for your system the following general industry practices are provided only as a guideline Refer to the drawing on the following page 1 The AC wall outlet ground for the indoor POE adapter should be connected to the building grounding system 2 Install a surge arrestor in series with the Ethernet cable at the point of entry to the building The grounding wire should be connected to the same termination point used for the tower or ma
