Brackets Figure 3 Installing Removing a bracket You can remove and replace the brackets with any of the eight provided This allows you to use this system with iPods of different sizes To remove grip the inner part of the bracket and take it out After choosing the appropriate bracket you can dock your iPod to the iBass now Using 3 5mm headphone jack for connection For new generation iPods iPod shuffle or other portable audio devices connections can be made using the 3 5mm headphone cable provided with the system Connect one end of the 3 5mm cable into the headphone jack at the back of the iBass and the other end to the headphone or line out jack on your portable audio device Figure 4 3 and 4 4 When the 3 5mm cable is used the infrared remote cannot control your iPod functions and the iPod will not be recharged For music playback it is recommended that you adjust the volume of your iPod or audio device to a sufficiently loud level then adjust the volume of the iBass to your desired level GB 4 to adjust the volume of iPod or your audio devices to a sufficiently loud level then adjust the volume of the iBass to your satisfactory level Note iBass will choose 3 5mm jack input as the priority signal source to play while 3 5mm signal source and iPod is docked into iBass at the same time Connecting to the power After the iPod is docked or headphone jack is connected with your audio device properly you can now inser

7. ll Toshiba lithium battery To replace please follow the Figure 5 Please note that the lighting of the room or battery life can affect the operating range of the GB 6 remote control Figure 5 Inserting a new battery TROUBLESHOOTING In case of malfunction please power off the system immediately and check the unit according to following table If the problem still exists please contact the dealer or the manufacturer Symptom iPod Audio source is not responding No Sound Problem iPod does not dock properly 3 5mm stereo cable isn t connected properly Power cable is not connected Power isn t turned on Volume Level too low No playable file on iPod Solution Please ensure proper bracket is placed for your iPod Refer to Placing the correct bracket on page 4 Unplug the iPod from the docking station to see any obstructions in the connector or in your iPod Connect 3 5mm stereo cable to the audio source Make sure the signal cable is inserted firmly into the correct jack amp is fully connected in the line out audio out or the headphone jack on your sound card or other audio source Make sure the iBassis plugged in and the LED is illuminated Press Play Pause button on the remote control to go into playback condition Press POWER button on the remote control if your iPod indicator light is off please repeat pressing POWER button Unp
8. lug the power cable for 1 minute then plug it back to reset the system The volume level might be too low press Volume button to adjust Make sure your iPod is on and a track is selected for playback Mute is on Software compatibility problem iBass might be in MUTE condition Press MUTE again Make sure your iPod is running with compatible software refer to To check for iPod compatibility on page 5 Remove your iPod and replace it after few minutes You may need to do this for few times GB 7 No Sound Your iPod is not charging After quickly undocking or docking your iPod Make sure the power cable is securely plugged in to a functioning wall socket The symbol on the small connector is matched with that on rear panel of the iBass Refer to Figure 4 4 on page 5 Make sure your iPod is firmly seated in the dock Remove your iPod from the dock wait for 5 seconds and return it to the dock Unplug the power cable for 1 minute then plug it back to reset the system Remote Control is not functioning properly iPod does not dock properly Remote Control is not pointed toward the infra red window Remove your iPod from the dock wait briefly then reset it You may need to do this for few times Try the remote from different locations and see if it works Strong lighting or other room conditions may cause the problem Make sure nothing blocks the infrared
