6. t gt tuning buttons Cycle through the frequencies by pressing repeatedly Or scan the frequency for the next audible station by pressing and holding the up or down button for a few seconds then releasing Repeat to hear the next audible station NOAA weatherband information is listed on the back page Weather Alert Mode The Weatherband Alert mode when set will automatically turn on the radio when any emergency alert from NOAA is activated in your area In this mode it is recommended that you use a continuous source of power such as an accessory 120V AC charger to ensure the unit is always charged 1 Turn the radio on and press the ALERT button The ALERT symbol will flash in the LCD Display The radio is now on Stand By and will turn on and tune in to the weather band station currently broadcasting an emergency NOAA alert including an Amber Alert 2 To deactivate press the BAND button again to return to normal radio listening 3 To learn more about the NOAA and emergency alerts visit www nws noaa gov nwr Siren and Flashing Red Light Press the SIREN button on the front The high volume emergency siren will sound and the red LED on the back will blink Clock To set the clock turn off all other functions first Press and hold the BAND button until the Hours are blinking in the display Use the lt lt gt gt buttons to set the time in hours Press and hold the BAND button again until the Minutes are blinking in the display
