1. www company23 com 511 Subaru Axle Pin Tool Instructions SPECIAL NOTES e The use of a factory service manual is highly recommended These can be purchased at the dealer or dow nloaded online at http techinfo subaru com e Company23 is not responsible for damage done to your vehicle as a result of misuse of this product e Company23 does its best to ensure the accuracy of this manual but is not responsible for errors e NOTE To prevent damage of the tool alw ays strike it on center If the tool gets stuck inside the axle hole alw ays twist the tool as it is pulled out of the axle Never bend the tool side to side ROLL PIN REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Safely place vehicle on a properly secured automotive lift or properly secure vehicle on automotive jackstands Ensure vehicle is on a level surface Step 2 Locate the front axle roll pins on the inner transmission side CV joints Position the roll pin like the picture below You may need to rotate the axle w heel to get the correct position LOM yao Step 3 Insert the Company23 roll pin tool s small end into the inside of the roll pin Using a hammer tap the Company23 roll pin tool and drive the roll pin until it is almost out of the axle When the roll pin is almost driven out of the axle soften the taps to avoid losing the roll pin as it exits the axle Step 4 The axle can now be removed ROLL PININSTALLATION INST RUCTIONS Step 1 Install new axle ensuring t2. he holes of the axle match the hole on the stub shaft of the transmission iT l Step 3 Tap the Company23 roll pin tool to install the new axle pin The pin should be installed flush w ith the CV axle s outside diameter Twist the tool as you remove tt For questions amp comments please contact sales company23 com 2
