SAFETY This chair carries the CE mark and complies with all current EU regulations Remove the CE mark when rebuilding the product or when using other than original VELA spare parts and fittings NOTE We recommend that users of belts should be supervised when the belts are used 1 2 WARRANTY VELA refers to the Danish Sale of Goods Act with regard to warranty The warranty applies only if original spare parts and accessories are used and always provided that adjustments are carried out by authorised service technicians The warranty does not cover accidental damage including damage caused by misuse or neglect The warranty does not extend to non durable parts which are subject to normal wear and tear and need periodic replacement VELA assumes no liability for damage to the product or injury to the user as a result of e Transport e Misuse e Ordinary wear and tear e Incorrect use e Using non original spare parts and accessories e Adjustments carried out by unauthorised service technicians VELA reserves the right to inspect the product being claimed for and the relevant documentation before agreeing to the warranty claim and to decide upon whether to replace or repair the defective product It is the customer s responsibility to return the item being claimed for under warranty to the address of purchase The warranty is given by VELA or subsequently an VELA dealer REPAIR If there is a fault on your chair you should contact
3. evel of activity is a key factor A person with extreme movements in the chair should contact a sales consultant before purchase e The chair is not intended for standing on e When moving the chair it should always be locked 1 5 3 RECYCLING Many of the materials used in the chair s constructidfi can be recycled Deliver the chair to VELA or our local recycling centre 1 6 VELA TANGO USERMANUAL All handles should be pushed up never down 4 SEAT HEIGHT To adjust the seat height just push the lever placed at your right hand The gas spring should always be replaced by a VELA technician or other qualified person with relevant experience lt SEAT TILT The seat tilt is changed by using the lever placed in the right side behind the armrest 4 SEAT ROTATION SOME MODELS You can rotate the seat 90 to the left and 90 to the right by using the lever placed at your left hand lt BACK TILT The back tilt can be changed by using the lever placed on the right side 4 BACK HEIGHT The back height is changed by using the lever which is placed on the back of the chair Remember to tightend the lever again lt BRAKE VELA Tango has a centralbrake The hand brake is pushed torwards to lock the wheels and backwards to release them The brake can easily be changed to the other side if requested Just remove the rubberstop by loosen the little 6 screw and place the brake in the hole Remember to tigh end it a
4. gain ARMREST The height as well as the width of the armrests can be adjusted lt HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT The height is adjusted by loosening the lever Remember to tighten them well again 4 WIDTH ADJUSTMENT The width 15 set by loosening the lever under the seat and adjusting the width Remember to tighten the levers again lt BACK ANGLE ONLY VELA TANGO 200 The back angle on VELA Tango 200 can be locked in the needed position by adjusting the lever on the back lt INTERVAL SETTINGS HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT The standard height adjustment can be done without tools Just loosen the lever and turn the outer tubing to the requested height It is impsortant to place it in a groove again ADDITIONAL ACCESSORIES 4 FOLDING FOOT RING Push the foot ring with the foot to make it swing either up or down NOTE Be aware that there may be a conflict with the footring and the seat when the outer tube is placed in lower position and the seat Is in lowest possition 7 1 7 TECHNICAL DATA CONSTRUCTION Arched steel frame made from profile tubing ensures that all the wheels remain in contact with the floor even on uneven surfaces Each wheel is secured with a wheel spindle in a tower Outer tubing in PA with indications for height regulation Height adjustment with telescopic actuator VELA Tango 100 VELA Tango 100A VELA Tango 200 Height adjustment Gas 350N Gas 350N Gas 500N Coxit seat with two 47 x 49 adjustab

6. like The gasspring functions without any maintenance Do not expose the gasspring to pressure high temperatures or perforation Wheels Wheels should be regularly checked and cleaned of any fluff etc Base Wash regularly with a mild solution of lukewarm water and pH neutral washing up liquid Upholstery The fabric is made of polyester which only needs to be vacuumed occasionally and wiped with a cloth rinsed in clean water and tightly wrung Make sure to remove any stains as quickly as possible Always use a moist clean white cotton cloth For more stubborn stains use a bit of mild washing up liquid Do not use any cleaning materials containing chlorine or methylated spirit Any incontinence cover should be machine washed on a gentle cycle 1 5 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS To ensure correct use of the VELA Tango please note the following 1 5 1 TRANSPORTATION Always remember to lock the chair in position when transporting VELA Tango No one should sit in the chair while it is being transported Temperature during transport 104 degrees to 158 degrees Humidity 15 95 Air pressure ppp up to 0 6 miles above sea level 1 5 2 STABILITY AND BALANCE VELA Tango is designed to be used on a daily basis at work or in the home It is intended for quiet seated work All movements in VELA Tango have a bearing on the chair s centre of gravity To enhance safety we recommend the following e Maximum user weight is 160 kg however the l
