1. Deflector Rod Rang OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS e Adjust the airflow direction properly otherwise it might cause discomfort or cause uneven room temperature e Adjust the horizontal louver using the remote control e Adjust the vertical louver manually for models without motorised louver function or using the remote control To set the vertical airflow UP DOWN direction Perform this function while the unit is in operation Use the remote control to adjust the air flow direction The horizontal louver can be moved at a range of 6 for each press or swing up and down automatically Please refer to the REMOTE CONTROL MANUAL booklet for details To set the horizontal airflow LEFT RIGHT direction Move the Deflector Rod manually to adjust the air flow in the direction you prefer FOR MODELS WITHOUT MOTORISED HORIZONTAL LOUVER FUNCTION IMPORTANT Do not put your fingers into the panel of blower and suction side The high speed fan inside may cause injury e For some models the vertical louver can be adjusted by using the remote control Please refer to the REMOTE CONTROL MANUAL for details A CAUTION e Do not operate the air conditioner for long periods with the airflow direction set downward in cooling or dehumidifying mode This may cause condensation on the surface of the horizontal louver causing moisture to drop onto the floor or on furnishings

Filter Handle arr Cleaning the Grille Case and Remote Control eTurn the system off before cleaning To clean wipe with a soft dry cloth Do not use bleach or abrasives NOTE Power supply must be disconnected before cleaning the indoor unit ZX CAUTION e A cloth dampened with cold water may be used on the indoor unit if it is very dirty Then wipe it dry with a dry cloth e Do not use a chemically treated cloth or duster to clean the unit e Do not use benzine thinner polishing powder or other similar solvents for cleaning These may cause the plastic surface to crack or deform e WARNING Never use water hotter than 40 C 104 F to clean the front panel it could cause deformation or discoloration Cleaning the Air Filters NOTE Power supply must be disconnectd before cleaning the indoor unit Clogged air filters reduce the cooling and heating efficiencies of this air conditioning unit PLEASE CLEAN THE AIR FILTERS ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS 1 Lift the indoor unit panel up to an angle until it stops with a clicking sound 2 Take hold of the handle of the AIR FILTER and lift it up slightly to take it out from the filter holder then pull it downwards 3 Remove the AIR FILTERS from the indoor unit e Clean the AIR FILTERS once every two weeks e Clean the AIR FILTERS with a vacuum cleaner or rinse with water then dry them off in a cool place before putting

20. suggest you use a supplementary heating device 10 AUTO RESTART Function Power failure during operation will stop the unit completely For the unit without AUTO RESTART Feature when the power restores the OPERATION indicator on the indoor unit starts flashing To restart the operation push the ON OFF button on the remote control For the unit with AUTO RESTART Feature when the power restores the unit restarts automatically with all the previous settings preserved by the memory function 11 Lightning or a wireless telephone operating nearby may cause the unit to malfunction Disconnect the unit from the power supply and then re connect the unit with power again Push the ON OFF button on the remote control to restart operation 12 If you are switching on or turning off the unit and suddenly there is a power cut the front panel or louver is not yet opened or closed do not attempt to press with force to make them close fully When power is restored the front panel or louver will open or close automatically Please refer to illustrations below Troubleshooting Tips TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS If one of the following faults occurs stop the air conditioner immediately disconnect the power and then connect it If the problem still persists disconnect the power and contact the nearest customer service center OPERATION indicator or other indicators continue flashing Problem Fuse blow
