1. handle and unscrew to widen clamp slightly wider than tub wall Lower 3 Lower the tub bar all the way down onto tub wall in the desired position with the clamp handle positioned outside of the tub 4 Tighten the clamp using the clamp handle until sufficiently tight enough to prevent the bar from slipping during use 5 Test the stability of the bar by pulling forward backwards and side to side If the bar slips any amount ensure the tub wall is not slippery due to soap film or other substance and re tighten the clamp Tub safety rails normally require retightening from time to time Check periodically before use and re tighten as needed Over tightening the tub rail can lead to damage to the safety rail or the tub wall UOIJEWIIOJU CAUTION Tub safety rails are not suitable for all bath tub styles Tubs with excessively sloped walls or top lips may not allow the bar to be securely installed Fibreglass tubs may not have solid enough walls to withstand the pressure of the clamp Directions for Use The upper grip area of the tub rail is intended to assist the user s balance when stepping into and out of the tub It is not intended to support the user s full weight at any time The lower grip area is more secure and can be used to support the user s weight when rising out of or lowering into the bath tub Safety Information DO NOT install this equipment without first reading and understanding this user manual2.
