The problem is the GC DVD DRIVE was design to reader very good quality disc with very low PI errors that only high quality DVD BURN can reproduce it The Backup Just Doesn t Boot Some games no matter what you do JUST DO NOT WORK YET The Original DVD s TOC is fucked The TOC aka Table of Contents is read from the original game hacked in memory and then applied to the backup Sometimes it is incompatible A solution is to try another original game to boot with The TOC 1 pulled from the boot code of the original game and then the Cobra BIOS uses it like a boot disc to load the copy DVD Drive Loses Sync A bug exists in all versions of the Cobra BIOS v1 v4 that will give a read error when the DVD laser loses sync aka stops reading Quite a few games are 127 affected by this some stop reading as soon as the GameCube logo disappears and others will stop randomly during game play The Cobra team is aware of this and is working on a fix but has not made any promises Screen is in Black amp White and flickering This happens when you are trying to run a PAL game on a NTSC system If your television supports 60 kHz signals your solution is to hold down B when you see the GameCube Boot Logo Soon after that you will get a menu to select either 50 kHz or 60 kHz The screen may still be flickering at this time so what you do is press RIGHT on the direction stick and then press A NOTE Some PAL games do not support 6

79. imply saving then powering off your Cube then booting the next disc required for playing and loading your save DOL Loading Some DOL files when loaded do not work at all or do not work correctly when used with certain Modchip amp BIOS combinations This is due to the fact that the BIOS uses certain memory registers that need to be used by the DOL itself The only fix to this problem is to reprogram the DOL in question pretty hard to do if you do not have the source code to avoid using these registers And example of a DOL that doesn t work using Cobra v0 4 and the Viper GC is SNES9XGC b2 Bootup There is a random bug that affects the Bootup of the BIOS If you ever turn your GC on with an original game in the drive and don t get the Cobra BIOS screen simply turn off the GC wait 10 seconds and turn it back on Booting There are a few random bugs in the booting process of DVDr media The first one occurs when the onscreen prompt tells you to swap disc now and the DVD ROM drive either doesn t stop spinning or the laser doesn t stop reading The second bug is that after booting the game in question you either get the GC logo then a black screen or a black screen with no logo To remedy this simply turn off the GC wait 10 seconds and turn it back on and try booting the game again Sometimes you ll have to try this 3 4 times before the game will boot Idle in BIOS If you let your Cube site a while before trying to boo
