Signal Source Block Diagram Reference Oscillator 4268ASE05013 i ALC OFF 0 ALC ON Hpot Transducer The transducer section measures the vector voltage across the DUT and the current flowing through the DUT by converting the current to voltage Figure 4 9 shows the transducer block diagram The voltage across the DUT is measured at the Hpot and Lpot connectors using a differential amplifier The current flowing through the DUT and flowing into the Lcur connector is converted to voltage by an I V converter The differential amplifier measures the voltage between an I V converter output and the inverting input of the converter The inverting input of the converter thus Lc is at virtual ground because of the very high input impedance and very high open loop gain of the operational amplifier used in the I V converter The R1 is called range resistor The 4268A selects one of range resistors 100 uF range at 1 kHz and 1 mF range at 120 Hz are switched using a mechanical relay 86 Chapter 4 Troubleshooting Theory of Operation Figure 4 9 Transducer Block Diagram Contact Check 4268ASE05026 Detector The vector ratio detector section processes the two output voltages from the transducer section and converts these voltages into digital data Figure 4 10 shows the vector ratio detector bloc
