VORTOX SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS FOR VORTOX AIR TECHNOLOGY INC TRUCK AIR CLEANER AN150 AND SSB AN150 SERIES SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRUCK AIR CLEANER Service Truck Air Cleaner when restriction indicator reaches 20 inches of water or the limit specified by the Engine Service Manual The following procedure should be used 1 Using a inch wrench loosen the stud assembly at the bottom of the air cleaner The stud is captive and is retained in the body of the cleaner 2 Remove the cap screen and head assemblies 3 Remove the used filter element 4 Clean the filter body thoroughly to remove all dirt Make sure the drain hole at the bottom is open 5 Clean the head cap and screen assemblies Make sure that the screen is free of all foreign material and that air will pass freely 6 Select a VF160R filter element Carefully inspect for physical damage Do not use a damaged element 7 Install the element open end up by sliding over the stud assembly Air Cleaner must be in a vertical position so the filter element will not tilt or misalign during assembly 8 Make sure the 55K160 gasket is properly installed Replace worn or cut gaskets The assembly must be airtight 9 Install the head assembly feeding the stud through the guide in the inlet tube 10 Assemble the screen and cap in place 11 Start the stud into the cap and tighten completely 12 Tighten all hose clamps on connecting elbows and fittings F 3045 102. 29 13 121 S Indian Hill Boulevard Claremont CA 91711 4997 1 of 1 PH 909 621 3843 FX 909 624 7212 E mail vortox vortox com www vortox com
