MACURA Service Bulletin 01 017 K Applies To 1999 01 3 2TL ALL October 29 2001 E 2001 3 2CL ALL Brake Pedal Pulses Supersedes 01 017 dated May 7 2001 SYMPTOM REPAIR PROCEDURE When the brakes are applied normally the driver feels 1 Remove the front wheels calipers and brake pads a pulsing sensation through the brake pedal refer to page 19 11 of the 1999 01 3 2TL Service Manual or page 19 11 of the 2001 02 3 2CL Service Manual PROPABEE ene 2 On both sides of the car measure the front brake The front brake pads have caused a variation in the disc thickness at about 10 mm from the outer edge brake disc thickness of the disc The minimum disc thickness is 26 0 mm 1 02 in e lf the discs measure more than the minimum CORRECTIVE ACTION thickness refinish the front brake discs on the car Refinish the front brake discs and install the updated refer to Service Bulletin 00 037 Brake Disc brake pads Refinishing Guidelines filed under Brakes e If the discs measure less than the minimum thickness replace them and refinish the new PARTS INFORMATION discs on the car Front Pad Set P N 45022 SOK A11 WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION In warranty The normal warranty applies 410820 Refinish discs and install 1 4 01 017A front pad set 410101 Replace and refinish discs 1 4 01 017B and install front pad set Failed Part 45022 SOK A01 Defect Code 045 Contention Code B02 Skill Level2.
