H D electrical connection update kit See additional optional items above 9 Connect the bullet connector to the main wiring loom Make sure all wires are run cleanly and zip tied so the wiring harness is secure Be sure wires avoid drive belt exhaust pipe or anything that could damage the wire loom 10 Tie up excess wiring under seat Note The primary wire loom is intentionally made long to allow for tall handlebars Tie up excess wiring into a loop and locate it under the seat near battery for a clean installation 11 Install fuel tank following H D Service Manual 12 Connect battery ground cable 13 Refill oil tank with proper type and amount of engine oil Do not overfill Check oil level with engine at operating temperature and fill to the full hot mark on dipstick Follow H D Service Manual for year and model bike you are working on 14 On future oil changes use care when removing and installing the sensor plug Gently wipe any metallic debris from magnet on Damage Control Sensor Replace the drain plug O ring with JIMS No 2059 6 or H D No 11105 as needed Note If LED light give a false warning remove the drain plug sensor and clean the magnet and sensor wire with contact cleaner Wipe any metal particles away with a clean lint free cloth Clean the connector post and mating plug with contact cleaner Make sure the connector is pressed on snug and that the rubber boot seals up tightly to the drain plug sensor2. 482 9224 7 VISIT US ON THE WEB AT WWW JIMSUSA COM No 2051 IS REV A 4 15 A Division of Thiessen Products Inc INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR JIMS No 2051 2052 2053 amp 2054 DAMAGE CONTROL KITS 6 Install the handlebar warning light assembly onto the left side of handlebars and run the wires down handlebars and backbone of the frame toward the battery and accessory connector plug It is your call as to whether stick the LED strip to the handlebars by peeling the adhesive strip off of the back It is not necessary as the housing will capture the LED strip and hold it in place Be sure the 3 LED lights line up with the holes in the handlebar clamp Note Do not bend the primary wire harness at the junction of the LED light strip Tighten the four screws to 7 in lbs making sure the gap is equal on both sides Zip tie wire loom to handlebars in at least two locations or run internal if desired Test LED lights after installation by applying 12 volts to red positive wire and grounding the black wire 7 On 2007 and later FLH models run the primary wiring loom inside the wiring trough On other models zip tie the loom to the backbone of the frame 8 Plug the secondary wiring loom onto the connector post of the sensor drain plug Run the second ary loom up toward the battery accessory connector Plug the Deutsch connector from primary wiring loom into the accessory plug on the bike s main wiring harness Note Certain models need an
