1. Remove the four 4 fasteners securing the rear center panel PIC 5 NOTE Older models may have one fastener behnd the license plate STEP 9 Locate the 3 wire RED connector and disconnect PIC 6 Take the Large 3 wire Harness and connect the black white wire sub harness between the RED connectors PIC 6 Use dielectric grease on all electrical connections ATTENTION K ryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical connections STEP 10 Locate the 3 wire BLUE connector and disconnect PIC 7 Take the Large 3 wire Harness and connect the black yellow wire sub harness between the BLUE connectors PIC 7 Use dielectric grease on all electrical connections ATTENTION K ryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical connections STEP 11 Route the 3 wire harness following the main harness up to the trunk lid It may be helpful to use a guide wire and remove the seat base STEP 12 Match the connectors to one another by color Use dielectric grease on all electrical connections Test the function of the new Spoiler Light STEP 13 Tuck all wires away from pinch points and heat ATTENTION Secure all wiring away from any moving parts pinch points or extreme heat K ryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any electrical component that fails due to pinched crimped broken abraded melted or frayed wires STEP 14 Re install the inner trunk panel and rear center panel and tighten all fasteners ATTENTION It is the i2. ATALOG WARNING YOU WILL BE WORKING AROUND THE ENGINE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM DURING INSTALLATION ENSURE THAT THE ENGINE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM HAVE FULLY COOLED TO PREVENT INJURY ATTENTION A factory service manual may be helpful in performing this installation Do not attempt to perform this installation if you are not confident in your ability to complete all of the steps in the procedure consult a trained technician STEP 2 Open the trunk lid Remove all fasteners holding the inner trunk panel to the trunk lid STEP 3 Locate the white 2 pin connector that the stock spoiler light connects to PIC 1 Disconnect the wires cont 3216 11GL 0809 STEP 4 Remove the 2 screws PIC 2 securing the stock spoiler light to the spoiler With the wires disconnected pull the light and wiring out of the spoiler Kuryakyn STEP 5 Tape the connectors of the Run Turn Brake wiring together PIC 3 and route the wiring y y through the hole in the spoiler PIC 4 PIC 2 STEP 6 Feed the wiring through the spoiler and out the hole drilled through the trunk lid to the p B FN spoiler It may help to use a guide wire to route the harness Replace the fasteners from Step 4 securing the Spoiler Light in place STEP 7 Connect the Small 2 wire Harness included in the kit to the plug from Step 3 Use dielectric grease on all electrical connections ATTENTION K ryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical connections STEP 8
