Page 1 of 3 1 Ifthe duster roller does not remain in the raised position after trying to press down on the cushion roller the duster clutch needs to be adjusted To increase torque use a 3 16 Allen wrench and loosen the collar bolt 2 Looking at the duster clutch from the inside of the machine Refer to Figure 2 hold the supply roll of cloth to keep the threaded inner drive post of the clutch stationary during this adjustment Use the 3 16 Allen wrench as a lever to rotate the outer clutch collar clockwise in steps of 1 4 turn 90 degrees Then retighten the collar bolt with the 3 16 Allen wrench to hold this setting ROTATE OUTER CLUTCH COLLAR UP CLOCKWISE Figure 2 3 Next check to make sure that the duster clutch is not over tightened when advancing the duster cloth Lower the duster cloth using the Duster Unwind button in the GUI diagnostics for cleaning Then wind the duster cloth using the Duster Wind button The load on the duster cloth motor should increase and turn more slowly when the supply roll of cloth turns causing the duster clutch to slip At least 1 4 of new cloth should be unrolled from the supply roll 4 Ifthe duster cloth motor stalls before it advances at least 1 4 of new cloth OR if it reverses direc tion or back lashes after the duster cloth motor stops turning there 1s too much torque on the duster clutch To decrease torque use a 3 16 Allen wrench to loosen the collar2. Brunswick f3 SERVICE PLR AE Subject Envoy Duster Cloth Clutch Adjustment Revision Date 6 14 13 Bulletin No SB13 8 This is a revised adjustment procedure for the Envoy Duster Cloth Clutch on page 115 in the Maintenance amp Service section of the Envoy Operation amp Service Manual part number 14 900098 000 Please include this in your Envoy service manual A N CAUTION To prevent damage to the duster gear motor do NOT force motor to turn by rotating shaft or chain Tools Required 3 16 Allen wrench Checking for Proper Operation Lower the duster cloth using the Duster Unwind button in the GUI diagnostics for cleaning Then wind the cloth up using the Duster Wind button The motor should lift the duster contact roller to its raised position and then advance 1 2 1 16 of new cloth Once the motor quits turning the clutch on the duster cloth supply roll and duster motor on the duster cloth take up roller should maintain their position Press down firmly on the raised black duster contact roller between the duster cloth supply roll and the duster cloth take up roll Refer to Figure 1 with the fingertips of both hands to check for proper adjustment of the duster clutch BLACK DUSTER CONTACT ROLLER IN BETWEEN THE SUPPLY ROLL AND TAKE UP ROLL l TAKE UP ROLL Figure I 2013 Brunswick Bowling amp Billiards Corporation 525 West Laketon Avenue P O Box 329 Muskegon Michigan 49443 0329
