1. 5 to the large connector on the pager harness 10 For VRSCA B D models Re install the mud flap to the underside of the fender Install and tighten the mud flap 3 of 5 nuts to 8 12 Nm 70 8 106 2 in Ibs Remove the fuel cap Re install the fuel filler boot Re install the fuel cap Pro ceed to Step 13 For VRSCR models Install the rear outer fender by sliding the tabs on the front of the fender into the slots on the inner fender locking tabs NOTE Ensure that the outer fender tabs are latched with the inner fender locking tabs 11 Press down gently on the outer fender to seat the fender against the frame 12 Install the four screws and flat washers that retain the rear outer fender and tighten to 4 5 7 5 Nm 40 66 in Ibs 13 ALL models See Figure 9 Clean the mounting surfaces of the pager transmitter 1 and the vehicle battery 2 using alcohol or other suitable cleaner 14 Apply the hook fastener 3 from the kit to the lower edge of the vehicle battery case as shown 15 Apply the loop fastener 4 to the pager transmitter 1 Position the fastener so that when the transmitter is installed on the battery the pager harness connector 5 is positioned nearest to the left frame tube isO1777 Pager transmitter Vehicle battery Hook fastener Loop fastener Pager harness connector 1 2 3 4 5 Figure 9 Apply Fasteners to Battery and Pager J02619 is01778 Antenna co
2. cMOTOR HARLEY DAVIDSON WY J02619 INSTRUCTIONS REV 2005 10 26 SECURITY SYSTEM PAGER KIT GENERAL Kit Number 91664 03 Models This kit fits all 2002 and later VRSC models equipped with a Harley Davidson Factory Security System This kit is designed to operate with the Smart Siren or as a silent pager only without siren system It is not designed to operate with the Smart Siren II Additional Parts Required AWARNING The rider s safety depends upon the correct installation of this kit Use the appropriate service manual procedures If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools have a Harley Davidson dealer perform the installation Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury 00333a NOTE This instruction sheet references Service Manual information A Service Manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley Davidson Dealer FCC Notice This equipment has been tested and found to comply with part 95 of the FCC rules Any adjustment that could result in a vio lation of these rules is recommended to be performed by or under the immediate supervision and responsibility of a person certified as technically qualified to perform transmitter mainte nance and repair duties in the private land mobile services The replacement of any transmitter components crystal semiconductor etc

5. r Harness 5 See Figure 1 Working from below route the long end of the pager harness with the single connector between the 1of5 fuel tank and frame and along the inside of the left frame tube is01303 is01304 is01773 WW D 1 Smart Siren 2 Loop fastener retaining Smart Siren 3 Hook fastener 2 on vehicle 4 Siren connector 142B Figure 3 Lower the Mud Flap VRSCA B D Models J02619 Figure 4 Disconnect the Siren Harness VRSCA B D Models If the pager is being used as a silent paging system only no siren installed Bundle the pager harness using a cable strap and secure the harness to the frame in an area away from moving parts Proceed to Step 13 For VRSCA B D models if the pager is being used together with a Smart Siren a See Figure 2 Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the splash guard mud flap nuts b See Figure 3 Lower the mud flap from the installed position and allow it to rest on the rear tire c See Figure 4 Remove and retain the loop fastener 2 securing the Smart Siren 1 to the hook fasteners 3 on the mud flap d Disconnect siren harness connector 142B 4 from the siren For VRSCR models if the pager is being used together with a Smart Siren a See Figure 5 Remove the flanged hex nut 2 and flat washer 3 that retain the passenger pillion 1 and remove the pillion b See Figure 6 Remo
