Service Call Oscillate not functional on Z45 25 Tools Needed 5 16 Allen wrench 5 32 Allen wrench 0 1000PSI hydraulic pressure gauge Model Z45 25 TECH TI Tech Tips Safety Rules y Danger Failure to obey the instructions and safety rules in the appropriate Operators Manual and Service Manual for your machine will result in death or serious injury Many of the hazards identified in the operators manual are also safety hazards when maintenance and repair procedures are performed Do Not Perform Maintenance Unless gt You are trained and qualified to perform maintenance on thismachine gt You read understand and obey o manufacturers instructions and safety rules o employer s safety rules and worksite regulations o applicable govemmental regulations gt You have the appropriate tools lifting eguipment and a suitable workshop The information contained in thistech tip isa supplement to the service manual Consult the appropriate service manual of your machine for safety rules and hazards TECH TI Step 1 Install a 0 1000 psi pressure gauge on the drive manifold test port Step 2 Start the engine and measure the pressure Step 3 If the pressure is 250PSI or lower unscrew the cap off the relief valve using a 5 16 Allen wrench Using a 5 32 Allen wrench adjust the valve clockwise until the pressure reads 270 to 280PSI 0m Replace and tighten the valve ca2. p jm WAGE Step 4 Loosen the jam nuts on the oscillate valve and manually pull up or push down on the oscillate spool valve The oscillate cylinders at the steer end of the machine should extend and retract If it becomes necessary to adjust the linkage for the oscillate manual valve refer to the 245 25 Service Manual P N 107846 Repair Procedure How to Set Up the Directional Valve Linkage section 8 9 TECH TI Step 5 If the cylinders still don t move attach a gauge to the hoses attached directly to the cylinders If the hose is pressurized replace the oscillate cylinder counterbalance valves Contact the Genie Service department for counterbalance valve removal and installation procedure If the pressure is not present replace the oscillate spool valve Replace counterbalance valves in both cylinders Step 6 If the function is still inoperable and more diagnosis is required contact the Genie Service Department at 1 800 536 1800
