The thorough induction of care person nel in the operation of the bed can be provided by V lker or its representatives at the customer s request Attendance of such training can be certi fied and confirmed by V lker using the form provided for this purpose specify ing the name date and signature Occupants patients must be instructed in the use of the bed before care per sonnel hand over the hand control to them Other requirements Whoever is in charge of the activation operation or preparation of the bed must have been given a copy of these instructions for use in printed or elec tronic form and have read them To avoid operating errors and to safe guard the smooth operation of the bed care personnel must always have ac cess to the safety notes below 11 of 88 Flooring requirements Increasingly overweight patients and occupants have caused a consistent increase in demands on hospital and care beds in recent years V lker has addressed this topic by increasing the safe working load for the beds However not only the beds are exposed to higher levels of strain but also static and also flooring Therefore we recom mend that flooring in areas where the beds are used which is designed for this strain These are floor coverings classi fied as at least class 32 or 33 in accord ance with DIN EN 685 and properly laid These are floor coverings for areas intended for public and industrial use with mod
