5. module and check that its power switch 35 is switched off e Insert the power module into the system Take care to insert it in the same orientation like the other module with the mains connection 25 on the bottom side e Tighten the securing screw 37 e Re plug the power cord into the mains connection 25 and fix the cord retaining strain relief 40 e Switch on the power module with the power switch 35 e Check that the green LED 36 starts lighting e Check that the red LED power module failed 6 at the front of the Processor EXTENDER stops lighting Barco TransForm A DOC 3358 2 service manual Revision 10 August 2008 lt 35 3 2 3 Redundant power modules of the OmniBus A18 The OmniBus A18 with redundant hot plug power modules can be connected to two independent power nets If one of the two power modules or a power net is failing the LED operating status 2 at the front changes from green to red and starts blinking This LED remains blinking as long as the failure persists please refer to section 2 3 1 The front of the OmniBus A18 One of the possible reasons could be that one power module has failed There fore proceed as follows e Open the front cover as explained in section 2 3 6 Opening the front cover of the OmniBus A18 e Examine the power modules They are located at the lower front of the OmniBus A18 securing screw green LED Output power good hand
6. video must feed a rectangular array e Also other restrictions may apply If in doubt contact your authorized service personnel Processor e A Processor AGS 3328 or AGS 3390 1 2 may have up to five link interface cards to connect to five OMNIBUS devices A Processor AGS 3389 may have up to four link interface cards to connect to four OmniBus devices Barco TransForm A DOC 3358 2 service manual Revision 10 August 2008 ________1_1_1_1 4 10 4 3 3 Plugging order and rules for a Processor configuration In a Processor configuration the following rules must be considered e Not more than 6 AGX GRapPHic CARDS of 3 UGX GRAPHIC CARDS may be inserted into the TRANSForM A system with AGS 3328 e Up to 4 UGX GrapuHic CARDS may be inserted into the TRANSForm A system with AGS 3389 e Up to 6 UGX GRAPHIC CARDS may be inserted into the TRANSForm A system with AGS 3390 1 2 If the system consists of a single Processor in addition the following order applies e The graphic cards are inserted into the PCI slots with the lowest numbers followed by the OmNIScALERS and then by the video input cards In a Processor configuration including an EXTENDER in addition the following must be considered e In the Processor the connection card is inserted in the slot with the lowest PCI number e If there are enough free PCI slots available in the Processor then the graphic cards are inserted in the PCI Slots following the connection card Otherwis

60. ssor Locate the memory sockets The 184 pin slots aGs 3328 and the 240 pin slots AGs 3389 respectively are lined up parallel and you will find them near the CPU The 240 pin slots of aGs 3390 1 2 are close behind the rear connection plate Because the number of pins is different on either side of the breaks the module will only fit in the correct orientation Examine the memory modules before removing from the anti static bag If there is any visible damage do not install the module and contact the manufacturer Do not remove the memory module from the anti static bag until you are ready to install it Use a grounded workplace Do not lay parts on the anti static bags Only the insides are anti static The order of the memory modules must be taken into consideration On the mainboard of the models aGs 3328 2 3 and AGS 3389 there are four sockets The socket closest to the CPU is the socket 1 followed by socket 3 socket 2 and socket 4 please see the figure above On the model aGs 3389 the slots are in addition marked with a color code The odd slots slot 1 and slot 3 are blue the even slots slot 2 and slot 4 are black On the model AGs 3390 1 2 the socket closest to the PCI slots is the socket 1A followed by sockets 1B 2A 2B 3A 3B 4A and 4B Memory on AGS 3328 1 2 Fastest memory access is achieved if always a pair of sockets socket 1 and 2 and socket 3 and 4 is equipped with identical memory modules The table below li
