TERN O Q Ac ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENTS SOLAR SYSTEMS Q LAMP User Manual As 09 05 2012 Operating principle Battery charge from solar energy Low battery protection system During the day the control electronics charges the battery according to the available solar radiation The control electronics has got a protection system against the excessive battery discharge to protect battery s life When the battery reaches this discharge threshold the lamp enters in Low Battery condition and it cannot turn ON until the battery is fully recharged When the lamp is OFF the user can verify if there is a Low Battery condition by pressing the Q TOUCH touch pad for at least 3 seconds If the lamp is in Low Battery condition it will turn ON for some seconds white colour for Q LAMP WHITE red colour for Q LAMP RGB and then it will turn OFF For latitudes of Central Italy from the Low Battery condition of the lamp it takes an average of 1 5 days to charge completely the battery in the worst period of the year in terms of solar radiation December Turning ON Turning OFF DAY HOURS During the day the lamp automatically turns OFF and it remains OFF It is possible to force the turning ON of the lamp to test its functionalities by pressing the Q TOUCH touch pad for at least 3 seconds The lamp automatically turns OFF if you do not press the Q TOUCH touch pad for 2 consecutive minutes It s not possible to force manually the turning OFF
