Operador que viene embalado con la unidad Siga cuidadosamente las instrucciones Cambio de aceite del motor NOTA Dependiendo del modelo de motor de su tractor puede resultar necesario extraer el panel lateral del tractor para reemplazar el filtro de aceite si el modelo est equipado de este modo Para drenar el aceite del c rter de motor de ciertos modelos de tractores se adjunta una manga de pl stico para drenado de aceite junto con este Manual del Operador Para drenar el aceite proceda de la siguiente manera 1 Desenrosque el tap n de llenado de aceite y extraiga la varilla de nivel de aceite del tubo de llenado 2 Coloque el extremo peque o de la manga de drenado en el c rter de aceite Vea la Figura 20 3 Extraiga el tap n de drenado y vac e el aceite en un contenedor apropiado con una capacidad no menor a 64 oz 4 Realice el mantenimiento del filtro de aceite si la unidad est equipada con uno tal como se indica en el Manual del Motor del Propietario Operador que viene embalado con la unidad Siga los pasos anteriores en el orden contrario una vez que se ha terminado de drenar el aceite 5 Cargue aceite nuevo en el motor tal como se indica en el Manual del Motor del Propietario Operador que viene embalado con su unidad IMPORTANTE Consulte el Manual del Motor Propietario Operador que viene embalado con su unidad para obtener informaci n sobre la cantidad y el peso adecua do

WARNING Be sure to shut the engine off remove ig nition key disconnect the spark plug wire s and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting before removing the belt s Avoid the possibility of a pinching injury Do not place your fingers on the idler spring or between the belt and a pulley while removing the belt 3 8 Square Hole Figure 26 Changing the Deck Belt amp PTO Belt WARNING Be sure to shut the engine off remove ignition key disconnect the spark plug wire s and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting before removing the belt s All belts on your tractor are subject to wear and should be replaced if any signs of wear are present IMPORTANT The V belts found on your tractor are specially designed to engage and disengage safely A substitute non OEM V belt can be dangerous by not disengaging completely For a proper working machine use factory approved belts To change or replace the deck belt and PTO belt on your tractor proceed as follows 1 Lower the deck by moving the deck lift lever into the bottom notch on the right fender 2 Remove the belt guards by removing the self tapping screws that fasten them to the deck 3 Remove the belt keeper rod from around the engine pulley 4 Insert a 3 8 drive ratchet wrench set to loosen into the square hole found in the idler bracket on the left side of the deck s surface See Figure 26 5

17. by excessive amperage If the electrical system does not function or your tractor s engine will not crank first check to be certain that the fuse has not blown It can be found under the hood mounted behind the dash panel on the right side WARNING Always use a fuse with the same amperage capacity for replacement 24 Cutting Blades WARNING Be sure to shut the engine off remove ignition key disconnect the spark plug wire s and ground against the engine to prevent unintended starting before removing the cut ting blade s for sharpening or replacement Protect your hands by using heavy gloves or a rag to grasp the cutting blade WARNING Periodically inspect the blade spindles for cracks or damage especially if you strike a foreign object Replace immedi ately if damaged The blades may be removed as follows 1 Remove the deck from beneath the tractor refer to Cutting Deck Removal on page 23 then gently flip the deck over to expose its underside Place a block of wood between the center deck hous ing baffle and the cutting blade to act as a stabilizer See Figure 24 Use a 15 16 wrench to remove the hex flange nut that secures the blade to the spindle assembly See Figure 24 To properly sharpen the cutting blades remove equal amounts of metal from both ends of the blades along the cutting edges parallel to the trailing edge at a 25 to 30 angle IMPORTANT If the cu
18. damage before restarting and operat ing TO the Cutting Height Select the height position of the cutting deck by placing the deck lift lever in any of the six different cutting height notches on the right side of the fender 2 Adjust the deck wheels if equipped so that they are between 14 inch and 12 inch above the ground when the tractor is on a smooth flat surface such as a driveway WARNING Keep hands and feet away from the discharge open ing of the cutting deck NOTE On models so equipped the deck wheels are an anti scalp feature of the deck and are not designed to support the weight of the cutting deck Refer to Leveling the Deck on page 20 of this manual for more detailed instructions regarding various deck adjustments Starting the Engine WARNING Do not operate the A tractor if the interlock system is malfunctioning This system was designed for your safety and protection NOTE Refer to the TRACTOR SET UP on page 8 of this manual for Gasoline and Oil fill up instructions 1 Insert the tractor key into the ignition switch 2 Place the PTO Blade Engage lever in the disen gaged OFF position 3 Engage the tractor s parking brake 4 Activate the choke control 5 Turn the ignition key clockwise to the START posi tion After the engine starts release the key It will return to the ON position IMPORTANT Do NOT hold the key in the START position for longer than ten seconds at
