AONVNALNIVIN MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE LEDGER PLATES Triumph rock guards use bolt on ledger plates Itis not necessary to remove the guards from the cutter bar Follow this simple procedure to remove the ledgers Remove the knife from the mower first 1 Raise the cutter bar off the ground and block up 2 Using a punch drive the bolt from the head end thru the guard The head will shear off It is not necessary to remove the nut Scrape all dirt from the mating face of the guard 4 Snap in the new ledger and tighten the new bolt and nut Make sure the ledger is down TIGHT in contact on its bottom face 5 Stake over or flatten the bolt on the nut side to make sure it does not become loose 6 Check and tighten the guard cutter bar attaching bolt Inner and outer shoe ledger plates are attached with rivets These ledgers can also be replaced without removing the shoe 1 Shear off the old rivets by a sharp blow with a hammer at the edge of the plate 2 Scrape dirt off the shoe mating face 3 Install new ledger plate and rivets Make sure they are TIGHT ATTENTION Loose ledger plates can cause poor cutting and destroy otherwise usable knives guards and shoes KEEP LEDGERS TIGHT Cylinder Rod Maintenance It is important to visually inspect the hydraulic cylinder rods daily before use It is highly recommended that while the machine is stored or getting very little use that a protectant is applied to

20. 3 Knife Drive Gearbox 3 Shots Every 50 Hours 4 Knife Drive Stud 1 Shot Every 12 hours MntP 0001 SB5 6 03 12 Maintenance Section 4 2 2012 Alamo Group Inc MAINTENANCE INITIAL HYDRAULIC SYSTEM CLEANING After the first 100 hours of operation or if the filter condition gauge shows in the red area when the oil is above 100 F drain clean and replace the filter Replace the oil after 250 hrs of operation The oil and filter should be changed in the following manner 1 Ona flat clean area lower the mower to the floor turn off the tractor set the park brake and remove key 2 Remove the magnetic drain plug from the bottom of the reservoir and drain the oil into a catch container Discard the used oil according to the regulations in your area Clean off any particles attached to the mag netic drain plug Reinstall the plug using a paste type pipe thread sealant suitable for hydraulic use 3 Remove the suction hose and suction fittings from the tank Remove the suction screen Refer to the Tank Assembly in the parts section Wash the suction screen in clean solvent and allow to dry thoroughly Rein stall the suction screen suction fittings and suction hose using a paste type pipe thread sealant suitable for hydraulic use 4 Unscrew the cap from the top of the filter housing Remove the filter element from the bowl and replace with the new filter element provided with the new unit P N 02974310 5 Fil
