3. 22 caliber pellets only e Put the air gun On Safe See Section 2 1 e Point the air gun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Pull the bolt all the way back e Place one pellet nose first in the loading port Fig 3 e Push the bolt all the way forward The pellet is now in a position to fire out of the barrel 4 2 Unloading Pellets e The most common way to unload pellets is to fire your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION after following Section 5 on aiming and firing safely e With the air gun On Safe See Section 2 1 pump the air gun three times See Section 3 and cock the bolt by pulling it all the way back and pushing it forward e Take the air gun Off Safe See Section 2 1 point the air gun in a SAFE DIRECTION and pull the trigger to fire e Put the air gun On Safe See Section 2 1 e Another way of unloading the air gun is to follow the directions listed under Section 6 Removing a Jammed Pellet Fig 2 PELLET LOADING 5 Aiming and Firing Safely 5 1 Aiming the Airgun e Always point your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Follow the instructions for pumping Section 3 and loading pellets Section 4 1 e You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes e Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit e Always choose your target carefully For example you may wish to shoot at paper b

On Safe fired Push in from right for Off Safe Always hold the forearm firmly when pumping the forearm to prevent possible injury Never pump your airgun more than 10 times Over pumping can cause major damage to your air rifle Pumping more than 10 times may also leave a small amount of air in the air rifle after it is fired which may allow you to fire a second shot without additional pumping 3 Pumping the Airgun e Put the airgun On Safe See Step 2 1 e Open the forearm all the way until it stops Fig 2 Be sure to hold the forearm firmly as you open it It could spring back into the closed position possibly caus ing injury Place your hands in the same positions shown in Fig 2 in order to avoid being pinched should you lose hold of the forearm Do not twist the forearm while pumping Use straight strokes to prevent breakage e Be sure to use at least three pumps but no more than 10 to prevent the barrel from jamming with a pellet remaining in the barrel after firing e Return the forearm to the original closed position with a smooth stroke Be sure to hold the forearm firmly as you close it Note You must follow the procedure for pumping loading and firing your air gun each time you shoot Use 22 5 5mm caliber pellets only in your Model 2200B Never reuse pellets Use of any other ammunition can cause injury to you or damage to the airgun 4 Loading and Unloading Firing Pellets 4 1 Loading a pellet use

14. for assistance before using your airgun again 8 Reviewing Safety e Never point the airgun at any person or at anything you do not intend to shoot e Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm e Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION Always keep the muzzle of the airgun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION e Always keep the airgun on safe until you are ready to shoot e Always check to see if the airgun is On Safe and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage e Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot e You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes e If your reading or prescription glasses are not safety glasses make sure you wear shooting glasses over your regular glasses e Use the proper size pellet for your airgun 22 caliber 5 5 mm pellets will work in your model 2200 e Never reuse ammunition e Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit e Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail e Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use All backstops are subject to wear and will even tually fail Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs e Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your air

16. irgun in a safe direction e Put the airgun On Safe e With the airgun On Safe open the bolt by pulling it all the way back insert a 22 caliber ramrod into the barrel and carefully push the jammed pellet into the loading port Do not try to reuse that pellet Fig 7 e If you are not able to unjam your air gun by follow ing the unloading procedure take no further action An Authorized Service Station will unjam your air gun no cost during the warranty period LOADING PORT JAMMED AMMO 7 Maintaining Your Airgun e Before you attempt to oil your airgun make sure the gun is unloaded and air has been removed see section 4 2 e Your airgun will maintain proper function longer if you oil it every 250 shots Put 1 drop of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil on the pump pivot pins and the pump cup in the pump mechanism Fig 8 DO NOT use petroleum distillate based oil or solvent and DO NOT over oil as this can cause damage to your gun A light coat of Pellgunoil on the barrel helps prevent rust DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIRGUN Attempts to modify the air gun in any way inconsistent with this manual may make your airgun unsafe to use cause serious injury or death and will void the warranty If you drop your airgun visually check to see that it works properly before you use it again If anything seems changed like a shorter or weaker trigger pull this may mean worn out or broken parts Call Crosman customer serv ice
