6. make a popping noise after pulling the trigger the COs is not being discharged In that event tighten the filler cap slightly and repeat cocking the bolt and firing the airgun until there is a popping noise which will mean the airgun is releasing CO with each pull of the trigger e Return safety to On Safe position See section 2 1 NOTE We recommend the use of COPPERHEAD brand POWERLET CO cartridges They are made to fit the Model 1760 and Model 2260 airgun Other brands of CO cartridges may not it properly and if you force them into place it may result in injury to you or damage to your airgun Never try to force any CO cartridge into or out of place Do not store your airgun with a CO cartridge in it If you know you will not be using your airgun for an extended peri od of time empty the CO cartridge and remove it from the airgun See Section 3 1 This is very important to remem ber as it will prolong the ngevity of your airgun seals A AA TUBE CO cartridges may explode at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C Do not mutilate or incin erate them Do not expose them to heat or store CO cartridges at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C 3 2 Removing the COs Cartridge e Put the airgun On Safe See Step 2 1 e Slowly turn the filler cap counterclockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of CO gas gt o the filler assembly from the action tube and remove the empty CO cartridge by pointing t

14. afe and can be fired PUSH IN FROM LEFT FOR ON SAFE SAFETY PUSH IN FROM RIGHT FOR OFF SAFE 3 Installing and Removing a CO Cartridge 3 1 Installing a new CO Cartridge Fig 1 Keep hands and face away from escaping CO gas It can cause frostbite if allowed to come n Always make sure the CO cartridge is empty before attempting to remove it from the airgun by slowly turning the filler cap counterclockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of CO gas e Put the airgun On Safe See Section 2 1 e Remove the filler cap It is best to always act as if there is a charged cartridge in the gun e Slowly turn the filler cap counterclockwise all the way until you no longer hear the escape of COs gas e Pull the filler assembly from the action tube and remove the ee CO cartridge by pointing the muzzle of the airgun own e Insert the new CO cartridge into the airgun with the small EW C02 FILLER neck of the CO cartridge into the action tube first Fig 2 CARTRIDGE e Replace the filler cap assembly in the action tube Screw OIL HERE Fia 2 the filler cap completely into place until finger tight only Ig e Cock the bolt by pushing the bolt handle up and pulling it all the way back until you hear two clicks Close the bolt and push the bolt handle down to lock e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take Off Safe See Section 2 2 and pull the trigger If the airgun does not
