6. drawer has been pre assembled to make the installation as simple as possible Connect the drawer to the POS printer as shown in Figure 1 Whenever the POS application software sends a drawer open command to the POS printer the printer will output an 12 to 24 voltage electrical pulse to open the drawer PROCEDURE 1 Remove the cash drawer from the packing 2 Remove the keys and interface cable from the plastic bag 3 Connect the interface cable to the POS printer 4 Connect the other end of the interface cable to the Control Signal Input of the cash drawer 5 Insert the bill dispenser divider and bill clipper to the cash tray POS Printer Interface Cable Rear View Cash Drawer W Figure 1 RJ Interface ngue EC Test Command TEST COMMAND The following test sequence will verify that the cash drawer is working properly Before start this procedure the cash drawer must install correctly as outlined in the installation section PROCEDURE Serial interface POS printer 1 From the prompt type MODE COM 1 96 N 8 1 and press ENTER 2 TYPE CON gt COM1 and press ENTER E N G L 5 H Type any alphanumeric character s and press ENTER The cash drawer will open 4 To return to prompt press and hold the CTRL key while depressing the letter C Parallel interface POS printer 1 From the prompt type TYPE CON gt LPT1 and press ENTER 2 Type any alphanume
