16. 6 FIGURE 3 FIGURE 6 e To reapply the filter bag first turn it right side out Next place the filter bag frame onto the bottom lid being sure that the bag frame seats fully into the channel Press down on all corners to ensure fit Check the seat of the filter onto the bottom lid see Figure 7 FIGURE 7 e Pick up the bottom lid and turn it over so the bag hangs below it see Figure 8 Place the bottom lid back into the cleaner being careful to feed the filter bag into the body of t he cleaner MAKE SURE ALL FILTER MATERIAL IS INSIDE THE CLEANER OTHERWISE THE LID WILL NOT CLOSE AND LATCH PROPERLY FIGURE 8 e Once the bottom lid is seated press it firmly into the cleaner Gently pull on the bottom lid to insure that it is properly locked in The lid is now installed CABLE MAINTENANCE UNCOILING THE CABLE In the event that the cable does coil on itself it can easily be straightened by following the below instructions Turn the power supply to the off position e Remove the cleaner from the pool and place it on the far end of the pool deck yard away from the power supply e Unscrew the blue cable from the power supply Hold the black collar at the plug end and gently lift the cable off the ground FIGURE 9 e Gently pull on the cable fo straighten e The swivel will rotate as tension is applied eliminating the coils in the cable e Return fo normal cleaner use 77 Turn the cable with your fingers to unc

34. inuity The Floating Swivel will glide on the surface of the water as the cleaner moves around the pool As tension builds in the cable the outer cylindrical portions of the swivel will keep the float stable allowing the front portion of the swivel to rotate releasing the tension that has been generated by the cleaner s movement See Figure 51 A B FIGURE 51 NOTE The swivel performs most efficiently when floating on the surface of the water If the depth of the pool exceeds the length of the provided cable from cleaner to swivel 8 an extension can be installed to lengthen this portion of the cable to optimize the cleaner performance Please contact SmartPool at 732 730 9880 M F 9am 5pm EST for assistance The cleaner will still operate in pools that have depths greater than 8 without the extension cord but it will perform at a higher efficiency with the extension cord in these situations How to Connect the Swivel OVERVIEW As you will notice the swivel is not connected to the cable inside the carton This is done to prevent any unnecessary stress from being applied to the swivel and the connections during the shipping process Below are instructions on how to connect the swivel The short cord from cleaner to swivel 8 will need to be connected to the small end of the swivel A The long cable from the swivel to the power supply 40 or 50 will need to be connected to the large end of the swivel
